This story was retold to me by my son who was sitting with my husband when he did this:
My husband is not super computer literate and so alot of things he does not really understand or knnow how to do. Well I had to show him how to copy/paste when on the computer for like copying info or website addresses or email addresses (he mostly visits Craigslist so has to copy and paste email addresses from there). Sooo anyhow he went to respond to an ad and copied the email address and pasted it in the wrong spot in the email so he deleted it and then navigated all the way back to craigslist to recopy the email address. My son asked him why he spent all that time to navigate back and recopy the email address because he had not copied anything else and my husband said well once you paste it it is all used up right? You have to recopy it to paste it again somewhere else? I know its kinda mean because he does not have as much experience with computers as our kids and I do so I shouldn't laugh but that just totally cracked me up.
I did explain how the info is copied onto the clipboard and it stays until you copy something else or reboot. So now he knows. It took him a long time to learn what he does know now and for awhile I had to do that type of thing for him until I taught him how to select what he wanted copied and paste it.
