There are lots to choose from out there. I have bought several bags and cases for my macbooks, but the one I use everyday is this one from Waterfield (http://www.sfbags.com) design:

It is really practical, room for keys, phone, cable and documents. Suits my working needs perfectly.

I would also love to have this one, also from Waterfield:

I also have one from Acme Made, similar to this one:

Good looking, but not very practical for my everyday needs. But I guess it's great if the only thing you need to bring is your laptop.

This one is pretty cool too :):

I also have this one from Lowepro, perfect for travelling and when you need to bring your SLR.

Thanks for your suggestions Kristin!
I love love love the Book Book and was about to hit 'purchase' today until I realised that the postage to Aus was just as much as the product :(
I'm buying an SLR in the upcoming weeks as well so that last one looks like something that would be handy.

I'm thinking I'll probably want a cover for the laptop and a bag to keep it in. Going to take a look at the WaterField link now - how much is postage? Haha.

Again, thanks so much.

I know, I paid pretty much for postage to Norway too :) I think it was about $50USD. But as you might understand....I have spent a few bucks on cases and haven't been really happy about any of them LOL. I bought another bag from Waterfield a few years ago, and was pretty sure I would be happy with a product from them. So I think it was worth it after all.

Well I'm no help for suggestions because I have the Book Book too.

But my boyfriend is really big on these hard case things like THIS (http://www.amazon.com/Speck-MacBook-See-Thru-Hard-Case/dp/B000KG6H10)

i think you will notice, like kristin alluded to, you'll end up buying a few different kinds of bags/cases because it's all trial and error. it's a personal taste thing and it takes a while to figure out what you like.

on a completely unrelated note, i'm totally getting one of these (http://www.etsy.com/listing/47570272/snow-white-black-macbook-vinyl-graphic?ref=sr_gallery_5&ga_search_query=macbook+decal&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title) decals:

I have one like this:

http://images.bestbuy.com/BestBuy_US/images/products/7847/7847574_rb.jpg (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Targus+-+Laptop+Slip+Case+-+Black/Gray/7847574.p?id=1142298814826&skuId=7847574)

which is really not all the cool or exciting, but I like it because it was reasonably priced and it's not super huge and bulky. I only use it when I travel but if I were to use it for school or something, I'd probably get a sleeve that I could just put in a bag I already have.
