Like all of the drawings, papers, special projects etc...

I'd love to come up with a system to keep everything is organized by grade - like a cute binder or something like that!

TIA! :)

I have no idea! I have been totally overwhelmed by it all. I haven't kept EVERYTHING but I have kept a lot. I will be curious what the other girls have to say on this thread. Thanks for asking!

I keep a few favorite items in a binder, along with report cards and awards certificates, the rest of the 'saver papers' items go into manila envelopes with the grade and year written on them, then stored in rubbermaid totes labeled for each child.

I saw this forever ago and wanted to remember it for when my kids are in school. I like it!

For now, I've been accumulating everything I chose to keep for each of my kids in a plastic storage container. I bought THESE (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-12.7-Quart-Modular-Latch-Box-Set-of-6/11014790) and they are PERFECT for all those odd sized projects, you know the ones that are slightly larger than 8.5x11?? These are perfect. I use a tape machine thingie and mark the boxes with the kids name and the grade(s) the box holds. So far, I've been able to keep 2-3 years in each box.

I love the idea that Sarah showed....but at least I'm organized by year at this point so throwing together a book shouldnt be too difficult.

I use a couple Rubbermade containers, one for each child. I'm fairly ruthless about purging stuff. I keep their best/favorite original artwork and creative writing stuff. I keep nearly everything for a semester & then let the kids pick their faves & I pick mine. But I only end up with maybe 12 things per child per year. I write notes on index cards about grade & class & what the child says about the item & then paperclip them together & drop them in the bin.

Kelli Crowe has an awesome series of videos on scrapbooking your homeschool projects. I really love what she's done and think it would be awesome no matter what kind of school your kiddos attend.

Here's a link to the first part.

I keep some of it for his scrapbooks, and the rest I have him give family/friends and mail to family out of state with little "thinking of you" notes.

They can keep one project/paper a month or my house would be overrun with paper. Over. Run. The amount of paperwork my daughter brings home from kindergarten is just insaneeeeeeee.

OK, Rachel's not in school yet...but I don't have space for tons of extra junk (and I don't save alot of stuff anyway). Special papers and drawings will be scanned and saved (makes them easier to scrap too LOL). Any big artsy/craftsy things will have to go into one of the under the bed boxes or the file cabinet.
