I found this website {from another website} and I really really like it so thought I would share :) I LOVE her philosphy on doing things and I started last night with the "clean sink" part!!! I would love ot get this incorporated a litte bit befor ewe move in to our new house so that we can keep it clean and decluttered! Just thought I would share :)

I also set the timer and did the 15 minute thing and I am TOTALLY going to incorporate this so everyone int he family has to do it in the afternoon :) Think it is a great way to keep things cleaned up :)

love it. Also love to "speedclean"...basically the idea is you pick one area and set a timer and move as fast as you can to get it done in that time...i.e. ten minutes to do dishes and wipe down counter, 15 minutes to change over laundry and fold a load, ten minutes to sweep the floor. and if you do it every day, very soon you can start keeping your house clean by mostly just speedcleaning and stuff

I can't wait for my BIL to move out so I can finially use that closet and get some clutter out of our bedroom (the closet in the room downstairs he was staying in is the biggest in the house - perfect for my dresses and our winter gear and stuff).

I do like some of her philosophies for sure. Sometimes I spend more time "taking a break" from cleaning than I end up doing actual cleaning, lol.

I plead guilty. I my case, the postponing takes so much time that if I spent quarter of that time doing something, there would be no clutter at all.

I LOVE her site! I get her emails for the "zone" cleaning and it's just a little bit every day. Althogh, I have really slacked off the last few weeks. But yeah, a lot of great stuff there!

Fly Lady scares me. My mom even bought her pencils. Then I got the Home Routines app, and it's apparently based off of her, and I love it. Still scared of her though. Like Martha Stewart. Scared of her, but her Homekeeping Handbook is like the engineer's guide to keeping a home.

Oh, I love her, she's the best! Her tips and ideas really made me able to maintain a house clean for more than 2 hours in a row, and I love the positive and supportive spirit she has. I use a lot of her concepts every day: the routines, the babysteps, the 15 minutes increments, the "jump in where you are" motto. BTW, she's also on FB here (http://www.facebook.com/TheFlyLady).

Her philosophy can also be applied to many other things, especially losing weight!

I discovered flylady in '01 when Nathan was a baby and I was working...and it always made me feel guilty LOL...I would be sitting at work thinking I needed to dust the tops of my light switches. I finally had to unsubscribe or jump off a bridge. ;)

I feel like I could use it now though! :D

hahahaha this is me too! working full time with 4 kids at home...when am I suppose to clean ;) SERIOUSLY! but I do like the kitchen sink and 15 mintue idea so far...everything else might be a little too much, but for now I am going to try those 2 things and see how it goes! I also want to try the pick up 27 things in a trash bag and throw them away...then pick up 27 things for donation and donate them idea!

but we'll see!!!

I've found that some of the aspects of fly lady work very well for me and others not so much. Glad I didn't give it up as a whole though...lots of good stuff there!

Wow! What an interesting site! I certainly need to declutter. Haha - hubby and I are still trying to merge our stuff (we got married last summer). It's quite a challenge!

I found her in 2003! Don't know how I survived before that! I still use some of her tips/tricks to manage parts of my life.

I've not subscribed to her daily emails in awhile, but I highly recommend the site for anyone have trouble managing "stuff."

I found her in 2006, and my life is better for it. Totally changed how I view cleaning.

That year at Thanksgiving, my house was a WRECK and we had friends coming over, and I was thinking that I could never ever get my living room presentable in the three hours before they came, but I remembered what Flylady says about tackling a task in 15 minutes, and seriously it took me 20 minutes to get my living room totally clean!

Flylady ROCKS - I love her ideas - but I too had to unsubscribe from her little email "reminders". They can drive you crazy!

yeah, i get the emails in a daily digest (just one email a day) but really all I want is the zone stuff... not the testimonials or the ones trying to sell stuff. even once a day is annoying when you get behind and have a bunch taking up your inbox! but i still like her!
