I am so proud of myself, I just can't help it.
It's not scrapping related, but today, I ran 10k for the first time ever! I walked an extra 1.5k to get home, for a total of 11.5k. I have NEVER done anything like this before!
I have been running off and on for about three years, but about 2 months ago, I started getting a little more structure in my running routine, and learning things to keep myself from getting injured. I started slowly increasing my distances, I'm not concerned about pace at all.
I'm so excited, I feel so empowered! When I left, I hoped to get 8k, which I ran on Tuesday, but once I got going, it was so nice outside, and I felt good. Yay!!!
I love running because it's the one thing that I do for ME and not for anyone else. I have pushed myself to do things I didn't think were possible. I couldn't run even in high school, and I was a figure skater. I'm probably been in the best shape I've been in for awhile. If only I could drop that extra 50 pounds, I could probably run faster.
