This is hopefully going to be a layout for my photobook about my vacation however I hate it, I'm not sure why but I don't like what I have created and it is about the 4th version of this layout.

I only have this one photo due to security measures in the building (no cameras allowed on the tour of parliament etc)

Do you have any suggestions on how to improve my layout so that I feel it is worthy of printing.

Personally, I think your page looks nice. I'm big into journaling. I would tell about the tour. What you saw? How long did it take? Did you have any particular feelings while taking the tour that you would want to remember or share with others looking at your book? Would you recommend the tour to others? Even details about your tour guide. Was the guide humorous or serious? I try to write down details that I would want to remember and also enough that if someone looks through my book that they could learn enough about the tour/trip without me being there to explain everything.

Good luck with your photobook!

I'm probably going to be doing a co-ordinating layout for the journalling as I met the leader of the opposition as well but until I do more layouts I haven't made my final decision.

Journaling would be awesome!

I like the squares you used. Maybe shift everything up a bit and add add a bit of color along the bottom

maybe like this

or maybe adding fun little things to each square like this

What about adding a 2nd mat beneath the photo? I'd use a light grey to match the crown and make the photo stand out a bit more against the darker background paper.
