omgosh. it's the day after a holiday, i work in a bank, of course, it's going to be busy. well, there were 3 of us scheduled to work and 1 girl called in...leaving us with 2. i just got back from lunch and going from the go-go-go of the morning to sitting down in my chair at home has made me a tired wreck!
what do you do to get over the middle of the day hump? i have a can of diet coke sitting here next to me...but i'm not so sure it's gonna help!

if it weren't so freakin' hot out, I'd go for a walk with the kids... am also having a hard time keeping my eyes open this afternoon... I used to have some caffeine to wake me up but since I've been staying away from soda, I'm afraid I'll be up all night if I have anything now

I usually try to lay down for 20 minutes for a "power" nap... of course, that depends on the kiddos... I can get a good 20 min if I put Super Why on for J and I lay on the sofa next to him... I don't have to worry about him going anywhere! ;) Or if I can't or that doesn't work... I eat an apple.

I hear ya! I was super bored at work this morning because I was the only one in the office - now I'm at job #2 and it's even quieter here! I've been surfing the net trying to keep myself awake but I need a nap! lol :p

I could entertain you on twitter!
I usually grab a big glass of cold water, a cheese stick and piece of fruit. I also crank up the music and keep busy.

I need to have one big bottle of water on the table and sip permanently... in wintertime it is a big mug with warm black, green or white tea or roiboos...

Laura.....totally understand. When I worked outside the home, I was in banking also. We NEVER thought it was worth the day off at all. The next day was always HORRIBLE. Hang in there. Hopefully your coke will pep you up and you can plan on twitter! :)

Im good as long as I do not lay down. If I am really worn out and tired I take a shower and put on some comfy clothes (in other words p.j.'s) and that makes me a little more comfortable and wakes me up a little.
