I was just wondering what other people struggle with (if anything) when creating layouts. I always have the hardest time with picture placement.....thats what takes up a majority of my time when creating a layout. So, what do you struggle with?

I tend to scrap by kit. If I don't scrap with a kit I have the hardest time picking out papers. Could look forever! LOL!!! Takes me a long time. So I stick to my kits! LOL! Once I get the papers figured out I can use whatever embellies from a zillion different kits. I just get my mind stuck on finding the perfect papers to use! LOL!!!

Coming up with unique compositions. If I don't scraplift or use a template sometimes, I end up with the same composition all the time.

Journal spots... I usually have too much to say. So finding the size Journal block to fit in the right size space. That and i cannot scrap by kit. which is why I cannot apply for any ct spots. It's just so limiting

Titles! I have always struggled with those.
I think for me it's photo placement and coming up with a unique composition. I start to feel like all my layouts look the same. And, lately, templates haven't even been much of a help. I find that if I get the photos on the layout with ALL the ellies just thrown on there hodge podge, then I can start moving stuff around. Eventually, something will come together that I like. But it sometimes takes a long time.

Title work and photo placement. That's why I use templates often. I hate staring at a blank canvass with no idea how to place my pics.

I am a template user because I can't figure out composition, lol!! If I was to start a LO from scratch, it would take me days, literally. And chances are that I would end up deleting it and re-doing it with a template, lol!!

Photo placement, here, too!! Once I get the photos where I want them, the rest of the layout usually comes together pretty easily, but the photos kill me!!

This made me lol because that is me. Once I started using templates that I liked everything came together quicker.

right now it's baby stealing mojo... but normally it's unique composition... I'm starting to feel like all the pages I do w/o a template all look the same.

I never was successful at paper scrapping so I struggle with making layouts look like what could be done with paper. I really like that style so I find myself looking for layouts to life that meet my idea of a beautiful paper scrap.

For me it's the not enough vs. too much issue. And that can be with photos, embellies, doesn't matter. Sometimes I look at a layout and I think it looks too bare. So I add one more thing and then I decide it looks to cluttered. Makes me crazy!

Journaling!
Not that I write too much, but that I'm too lazy to do the writing. Once I've got the layout done, with title and all, I consider it pretty much done. And I'm not usually up for adding the journaling.
Since a lot of my layouts are presents for others (my dd's, nieces, friends, etc) I will sometimes leave the journal blocks blank anyway, for them to add later. I'm sure that has enabled the tendency as well.

Titles and journaling.... I struggle with this on every.single.layout. :( Which is really sad because I used to write a LOT when I was young. Now I just can't seem to find the words...

Element placing, that is why I love Cindy's templates. I just move my elements into position and voila :)
