So, my hubby's birthday is at the beginning of next month. Unfortunately, I won't get to spend it with him due to some scheduling conflicts, so I want to make him something special this year (we don't do much for birthdays usually). But I'm totally stumped as to WHAT. He's not big on notebooks and stuff, so that won't work, and I've already made him 2 mini-albums so I don't really want to go that route.
Any help or suggestions? I greatly appreciate it :)

This is not scrapping related but i was away for my hubby's birthday this year and my sis decided to surprise him by ordering dinner to be delivered to him from a local Italian restaurant here. He loved it!

I was thinking the same thing. I did an mini album for my hubby like this. He loves it and keeps it in a VERY safe place (a combo gun safe!). :) I wasn't brave enough to have someone take those pics of me though. I did self portraits and used a timer. :)

My DH is great about supporting my scrapbooking hobby, so I always like to support a hobby of his. He does lots of guy hobbies (like model rockets, trains, etc...) and has a favorite store in town. When he's buying himself rocket motors it's like me buying scrapping goodies! How about a gift certificate for his favorite hobby? Or even a free day to spend with his buddies?

Hmmm, maybe something fishing related. Not a bad idea Kristi, thanks.
He gets days to go fishing or do whatever with the guys anytime he wants. One of the perks of being baby-less, LOL!

is there soemthing he is interested in learning? You could buy him lessons for whatever that might be.
Over here they have deep-sea fishing outings and my husband and his brother used to go occasionally. They loved it so something like that might be something he could do.
You could buy him a yearly membership to a gym if he goes often so he would not have to pay.
Or you could one of those monthly club things. They have them for jsut about everything now. You know like monthly fruit baskets. Only now you can do chocolate or beer or wine...really anything you can think of just about LOL (there was one in a meat magazine my husband ordered where you get steaks even LOL and it was REALLY EXPENSIVE!!!)
Or do a hybrid project for him with romantic type coupons ;)
IDK those are all things I would do for my hubby. In hte past I just kinda listened for a couple months priorr to holidays/birthdays what he "wished" he had or what he would frequently look at when we went out and Ive bought him a DVD player, a portable DVD player for when he was working and work was slow, a crock pot (yes a crock pot...he loves cooking and wanted one for quite awhile. Talked about all the stuff he could make if only he had a crock pot LOL)

Thanks Jessica. He hates spending money, so both the gym and the monthly club things are out (we bought a bowflex so we wouldn't have to pay for a gym). And he buys himself anything he wants for the most part. He doesn't talk about wanting something, he just saves up some money and then goes and buys it, lol. This is why I have such a hard time buying him presents.

LOL then Im without any ideas. My husband doesnt really buy alot for himself (aside from work related stuff when he was working) so anything else he wouldd just mention how he would like to have this or that and that is what I would buy. It wasnt like he would mention it because he wanted me to buy it for his birthday or whatever it was just that he thought it would be nice to have sometimes it would be months between when he said it and when his birthday came. Like the DVD player...I think we were the last people on earth to buy one LOL. We were still watching VHS and most movies were not coming out on VHS. So I figured it would make a nice christmas present for him and I bought him his favorite movies (Rocky 1-5) to go with it. Oh yes I have regretted that decision for YEARS!!! LOL I believe Ive seen those movies at least 100 times each.

What about an event type of present- a weekend trip to somewhere he would like, tickets to a sporting event or play, dinner at his fave restaurant.... etc.
My hubs plays golf so I set him a tee time and paid for him and his friend. I got a day to scrap hahah!! bonus!

This is a really cool idea. I dont know if I'd be brave enough to do this, or really to see myself in photos like that! OR, withstanding the daily attacks from my husband, LOL!!!!
If you did this, would you print at home? Im asking honestly, because IDK if photo places will print these types of photos, OR if you'd be brave enough to send them off!!?

Ooooh, that's a great idea! We both actually golf, I just haven't been out yet this year. I could totally do this, and then we could spend that day/afternoon together!
