Air Conditioning... :p
I took Ella outside for about 30 minutes and when I opened the door to come back inside and that sweet cold blast of air hit our sweat soaked faces after that 30 minutes of wet Mississippi heat I was so thankful...and literally said a little prayer. Thank you Lord for air conditioning :)
That is all.

My AC was broken this time last year... for about a month. It.was.miserable. I will never take AC for granted again. Definitely a blessing!

The heat index today is 110 degrees. In NY that is the equivalent to the apocolypse....we're staying indoors today.
And you're so right, thank God for AC!

Oh I agree. I think we should have a day set aside every year ( in the summer time ) to just celebrate who ever created AC!

Absolutely! Our AC went out last year and we went without for close to two months when it was 100+ daily. I will never, ever, ever take for granted my AC or my washing machine!

AMEN to that! There is no way we could live in our mobile home air in this Louisiana heat/humidity.

oh ouch Meghan!
I :wub:my a/c!! Two of the kids and I have allergies and would be so miserable without it due to that ... and in the mugginess we have around here oh yuck!
We have a really powerful fan that helps blow the air up to the bedrooms and that helps a bit with the a/c bill and overworking the a/c ... otherwise it gets quite stuffy upstairs as the heat pump does NOT blow like the a/c guy told us it would blow.

I don't have AC at home, but I do love it at the gym, I could stay there all day when it's hot outside! ;)

When I got up this morning the windows were all fogged up lol..b/c we keep it so cool in here at night and it's soo muggy outside...temp right now at 7 am is 74 degrees with about 60 percent humidity. blah.

Oh, TOTALLY! Im in Texas and there i just NOOOO way that we could live without it. It just STINKS that electricity has gone up so much over the last few years.
Notice now that gas prices have come down, other things like electricity, groceries, "fuel surcharges" and such, have not? Grrrrrr

No A/C here either - it gets hot for only a couple months. Now a furnace, need that here BADLY. I wish I had A/C at home sometimes (esp. at night when it's too hot to sleep!)

The past 3 summers we were without ac for some reason.
Sept 2007- evaporator coils and drip pans were messed up so we replaced most of the interior parts.
Sept 2008- no electricity due to Ike so no ac for a week
Aug 2009- compressor fan broke so we replaced all the extreior parts.
There better not be any more problems! LOL! I will say that since we basically have a new system it is more efficient and our bills have been lower. We run ours almost year round. Even if we don't need to cool air we will run it for a few cycles to get the humidity out of the house.

In my former office there were walls of mostly glass and the building owner tried to save energy costs so he turned the AC always on the very minimum. The office was located south-west, so the sun was shining on us the whole day. Everyone was wearing tops and shorts in summer and often we had our feet put into a pock with cold water!
Otherwise we usually don't suffer from heat here in Central Europe except of several warm days in summer.... but I always say - when it's summer, may it be hot and when it's winter, may it be snowy.

I thank God every day for my AC.
The weather here in Ohio has been crazy for whatever reason...like I heat wave. And the air is so heavy.
