I have 2 photographers I am considering for my son's 4 year photos. Help me choose which one! The first one, Wildflowers, I would pay $210 and get everything I needed plus a little extra printed and ready to go. The second one, All Events, is $75 for a CD with full rights to the photos. I am planning on some downtown, urban photos and some park pictures. WDYT and why?

I chose all events because of getting full rights to the photos...

I think technically the wildflower is way stronger, but not getting the digi files will definitely put a damper on scrapping any. Is there any chance of not getting the printed photos, but getting the digital files instead?

It would cost me $500 to get the digital files for Wildflowers, so, no, there's not. lol

I voted All Events - getting the CD and for that price is a great deal. I wasn't over keen on the first sets of photos but as you click through the pages and get to the kids ones, I reckon those are pretty good to be honest.

Wildflowers.
I liked their images better.
I would rather pay the extra, even if it meant holding off for a month or so, to get images that I LOVED rather than images that I just liked.

I, personally, would pick All Events for the fact that you get the rights to the images. You could edit the photos as you pleased and be able to easily order any/all photos.
They're both great photographers, I hardly think you'd be disappointed either way, from what I can gather!

All Events. The children photos are gorgeous and you get the rights - that is huge for me.

I pick Wildflowers. You are paying for professional grade photos. All Events are really nice, but they don't "wow me" KWIM? You could probably take photos of the same calliber and have full rights too...for free, but with Wildflowers, you would get some amazing photos to cherish.

Technically, Wildflowers is better photography and their use of available locations and settings is somewhat better, although both photographers are inconsistent. I would certainly never do studio photography with All Events -- some of those high key shots are not good. All in all, I'd go with Wildflowers -- they have some lovely kid shots and more artistic flair.

Actually printing rights, is not the same copyright release, therefore you actually aren't permitted to edit them.

I agree that Wildflower is a stronger photographer... I think you'd be happier with those images.

I personally voted for Wildflowers. When you pay for professional photos, you want pro quality. I am just a dabbler with my DSLR and can take better pics than All Photos, I just think that you would not be as happy with them. And I agree with Jenn Barrette, you would be paying just b/c you get the CD, when you could take photos that were as good. I also was not impressed with their editing, I mean they used presets and stuff but did not edit out huge discolorations, blemishes, etc on the skin....ok, I sound like a snob sorry...I also loved the artistic flair of Wildflowers. Their photos were GORGEOUS, I wanted to hang them up!

I would pick the second one. To me $75 for a cd with all the pictures and getting full rights to the pictures is a great deal! Then you can print what you want when you want them. And you will be able to have all of the pictures to scrapbook! :)

Oops, wasn't aware of that. My bad. I guess that goes to show that I shamefully have not gotten professional pictures taken of my tot.

I personally liked Wildflowers better. But you get what you pay for you know? I think the quality is just better with Wildflowers

Wildflowers.
I'm only a year "into" photography, and I see lots of flaws in the All Events sample photos. What's with all the head chop going on?
I'm as hard-core of a digi scrapper as the next gal...but in this case, since you're paying to have photos, I agree with the other girls that you'd be better off having gorgeous prints than digital copies of photos you're not crazy about.
good luck though! I think its wonderful that you're doing this!!
