We're leaving in a couple hours to take Madelyn to get her tonsils out. She'll have to be admitted to the hospital for the day since she's so little. I know things will be fine...just say a lil' prayer, please?

FWIW, my dd had hers out when she was 2 and did the overnight in the hospital as well. It was such a blessing in her recovery too - difficult while we were doing it with an IV and all of that but it really gave her that boost to recover more quickly. Keep us posted on how she's doing!

*prayers* DH was sick all the time until he had his tonsils out at the age of 2, and now he hardly ever gets sick, and at most just gets some canker sores when he's a little under the weather. I hope her surgery has the same results!

I've heard that day 7 after the surgery is horrible (when everything is healing and itchy) so have lots of ice cream on hand!!
