I've just noticed, over at FaceBook, that Daily Digi is looking for specimen of that rare species I belong to, i.e. single and childless scrappers.
To quote the message precisely:
Looking for single digiscrap scrappers without kids. link me up to galleries please! Contact info. would be fab too! You can send info to steph@thedailydigi.com if you don't want to post here.
So, if there's more of you, go ahead and contact her (if you want to, that is). I couldn't resist posting this because how often does this happen, right? :-)

I'm going to be single if my man doesn't come home from Vegas soon. Called me this morning (he is actually a sweetheart) and told me all about how his group of friends met a group of American girls that were in Vegas for their hen's/bachelorette's trip. How coincidental! Now I'm all jealous and bleh... :( Tried not to take it out on him.
LOL. Anyway, thanks for linking us all up. There's gotta be more childless/single scrappers in the woodworks here.

There's life besides children, and there are photos besides children photos. There are so MANY interesting pics to take and loads of interesting things to do and scrap about.
There's friends, family, travelling trips, nature, events, small moments, even friends' kids and such. There's postcards, CD covers, calendars, spice jar labels, you name it. I have tons of pictures and so many projects that I can never finish them all. My life is by no means dull.

Haha, Ebs, you crack me up. We both know that you're not going to be single any time soon. Jealousy is a beast though, eh? Know it all to well! :-)

That's why I posted it. Normally this group of scrapper isn't much sought after or talked about, so that's why I found this initiative interesting and wanted to spread the word.
And it's also a means to learn who else like me is out there!

Does married and childless count?

I used to be a childless paper scrapper but I got so bored of pictures of flowers and buildings and places that I stopped scrapping and started making cards :)

Well, I guess it doesn't. Married is not single. BUT I think you'd be a cool example of a scrapper who doesn't scrap kids, Zori. I mean - I scrap kids a lot even though I don't have them, but you don't and it's not like you're doing pics of you and your hubby all the time - and that's what they're looking for. I'm going to write them and mention you, and if you feel like it write to them too.

I digi-scrapped for 4 years before having children, but was always with my boyfriend turned husband (3 years ago tomorrow). :) I really loved scrapping friends, pets, travels, experimenting with hybrid cards, etc. Of course now, most every page I do involves my girls, but I do wish I had more time to fill in the rest of my life too! Maybe someday...

I can perfectly see what you mean. If I had children, that's where my scrapping energy would flow! It's perfectly natural. Why, even though I'm childless, I do scrap other people's kids if I like the photograph, because I like children and they make great LOs.
That said, there are so MANY other things in life that I never run out of topics or photos. Life isn't limited to children, there is life before them and after them, even without them. And if you have kids you still have other things in life (even if they majorly drop in priority, especially while the kiddos are small or if you have many children).

:( i wasn't implying that your life was dull. i just meant that other than my kids i don't have much of anything else going on in my life. i'm sorry if my comment sounded insulting.

Did it sound that harsh? It wasn't mean to, so if it did, I'm sorry. :-) I know you meant no harm! If I had kids, I'm certain they'd be the only thing I'd scrap. That's perfectly normal.

Adrianka, do you know what this is all about? I tried to find that note over at the daily digi, but couldn't. I'm about to contact Steph, coz I totally fit into that, but I'm just wondering what do they need scrappers for?

In the comments section she says that they were "just looking for some input from scrappers who aren't married and who don't have kids."
Looks harmless enough. And yep, I thought of you immediately. :-)
P.S. I tried to look at their website too, and just as you, found nothing.

I mostly scrap my son & hubby now but I scrapped for years before getting married and having a kid. I agree that there is so much to scrap about besides the 2 of them although now I just mostly scrap them. Just not enough time in the day to scrap it all!

I don't have kids (not planning either...) and I'm not married (not planning this too....) but have a bf and a huge family... I've always scrapped about what I love most, trips, my dog, my family, my lovely bf.. and can barely keep up with the tons of pictures I take every day!!!!!

I have to say that the pleasant side effect to the Daily Digi announcement is to see that there are more of us than I thought. Feels good. :-)
I wish I had discovered scrapbooking before I had kids... I LOVE the "All About Me" dimension of scrapbooking.
I did sort of Travel Journals before - like a book with glued photos, postcards, journaling, tickets etc. from all my trips. I also wanted my friends to write something in there at the end of every event (I'm sure some of them had cursed me because of that LOL). And, I was like 16/17 years old, so it was kinda "he said" and "he looked at" LOL, I found the journaling embarrassing a few years later but now I'm so happy I did it and so happy there's everything including "he looked at" LOL.

Oh, that sounds great. I only did two travel journals. One was from a vacation in Finland in 2005, but sadly we gave it away to another person. It was ironic and illustrated and it would serve as a perfect base for scrapping the photos now. The other one, from a Poland trip, was more like notes, but pretty ironic too. Thought it was lost, but found it in a drawer in June. Forgot to take it to Lux, and during my last stay in Slovakia I couldn't find it yet again!
