What is the weirdest thing you pet eats?

We have a cat...her name is Ali. She will eat/drink anything she sees my husband eating. She eats all kinds of vegies including corn and lettuce. She will drink his iced tea if he lets her. She eats watermelon and cateloupe and pineapple...but only if she sees him eating it. I can eat it and offer her a little piece but she just turns her nose up at it most of the time. Then my cat Pebbles eats popcorn. When she smells it popping she comes running and stands up on her hind legs stretching her front paw at me as if to say Please? LOL I dont let her have much of it because she can choke on it and Im sure it isn't so great for them to eat. So how about your pets? What weird foods do they eat that you wouldn't think they would like?

Yeah, our dog, Bryant, eats just about anything. He loves fruits & veggies, especially green beans & lima beans. The only thing I've found he won't eat is bananas. He loves the flavor, b/c he'll eat anything banana flavored, or he loves a banana smoothie. But, I think he just doesn't like the texture. But, yeah, everything else we've given him, he eats! lol

My little doggie Haggis eats everything! Honestly, I think the only thing that he hasn't liked was an IKEA hotdog :p

Dogs eat everything as a rule don't they? My cats turn their nose up at FRESH crab and fish sometimes. They're weird. They'll have a nibble or lick of anything we're munchin on, if we let them. But they won't hassle us for a bite kwim?

My mother/father-in-law had a cat who would eat pistachio nuts. you could give the cat the whole nut with the shell on and he would crack the nut open, spit out the shell and eat the pistachio. It always cracked me up. He was pretty old when I met my husband though. I think around 8 or so so he died a few years after we met. He was probably 12 years old at that time.

I had cats growing up and all they really ate was what a cat typically would eat...meats of any type and cat food. I thought our cats like vegies and fruits was kinda weird. Their favorite I really think is watermelon though.

Oh something else weird about our cats is they will not drink water from the tap. it has to be cold water so most of the time we have to add ice to the water in order for them to drink it or put it in the fridge for it to get cold.

yea when we had a dog she would eat baby diapers and women's personal products...Completely disgusting. I got into the habit of wrapping both up really well, putting them in a baggie from the grocery store and taking them to the outside trash can so she could not get to them. Sometimes the dogs in the neighborhood would get them too when I put out the cans on trash day. Im not really sure what it was that attracted the dogs cause ewww it cannot possibly smell appetizing LOL

My cat and my dog will both eat anything food wise. Seriously if I sit down to eat, both of them are right there in my face waiting to see what I have to eat. And if I'm not careful my cat will eat right off my plate when I'm not looking.

I have 1 cat that turns his nose up at tunafish and chicken!! Thes rest of them eat alomst anything....I had one kitten once that would eat corn off of your plate! I do have 1 cat now that will eat just about anything! And he eats popcorn too!

hm. well the cat likes to eat the bunny food :p which i don't see how that can be appealing at all- since it's hay in pellet form essentially .. he's more weird in what he won't eat though imo-- - he won't eat meat or fish or anything. it has to be the dry crap.. no real food for him @_@

I remember years ago my husband bought a burger from Mcdonalds I think...maybe Burger King. Anyway not really important where it came from. we had a cat then named Cleo. This was several years ago. (my son was about 4 I think and he is 13 now) well Cleo came up and snatched one burger from the sandwich while my husband was eating it. Seriously just snatched the meat from in between the bread pieces and took off running. So my husband was left with bread, lettuce, tomato and the condiments. He was really ticked off.

My dog will eat anything. She loves apple and carrots (raw carrots). Also loves ice, unless I put it in her water, then she just stands there and barks at it. But I think the weirdest thing, was the night we had brussel sprouts, I'd left one on my plate and she snatched that bad boy off the plate, took off with it, and ate it. Very strange, because *I* don't even really like brussel sprouts, lol

my golden retriever has been known to do this too, and my (deceased) beagle Sadie used to also. i have lost a few pairs of pretty victoria's secret underwear to this distgusting and rude habit lol.

oh, of course our golden also eats the 'kitty treats' out of the litter box.

and i have to keep the bathroom trash can in the bathroom sink cabinet. no need to elaborate there, YUCK!! lol

Bear does that too...gross! When I mentioned it to the vet, he told me that there is more protein there than in dog food...so it's not uncommon. OK, so not odd to him, but uber-disgusting to me.

My cat LOVES green olives! Its like cat nip to her. If I have been eating some and she smells it on my fingers she starts gnawing on my fingers with her back teeth (OUCH!) and then rubs her head all over my hands. Then I have to get up and get her one or two whole olives!

oh this isnt about my pets.. but for some reason ce and my neighbor were discussing this very subject @ the laundromat yesterday-- and apparently, her cat drinks/steals milk from sugary cereal bowls.. and only those bowls... no special k for that kitty. just the gross hyper kid makin kinds.

Hmmm... Ajax (a male dog, schnautzer) is a vegetarian. He never eats a bacon or sausage, but he loves watermelon, bananas or even salad, LOL!

Echo eats anything and everything he can get his paws on. His favourites are cheerios, potato chips, and other, similar foods. He also likes to chew on plastic bottles, though that's not so much eating as it is gnawing...

one more thing I thought of I cant remember if I mentioned it. Our cats would wait until we got done feeding the sheep (they were bottle-fed) and drink the sheeps formula right out of the bottle. It was like they were babies too LOL. And that formula smelled soooo bad. I was so glad the sheep only stay on it for two months
