I just was so happy today to discover that the cookie dough in Sams is made in Canada (no nuts and no cross-contamination). So I bought a tub and now am going to make cookies for peanut allergic birthday boy!! Oh and also you all make chocolate candies without nut contamination and you make chocolate syrup without nut problems too!!

Bless you all!

Ok that's it...I know I'm just way too happy!

Is it a certain brand that does not have the cross contamination?

The Pillsbury cookie dough from Canada. I've looked at Pillsbury dough in the stores and they usually have cross-contamination issues as do 99.99999999% of chocolate things in the USA. The boy LOVES chocolate.

Canadian Mars candy bars are good too.
Nestle (which I had totally written off Nestle) Chocolate syrup (real chocolate real sugar) is made in Canada and does not have issues.

And yes I do know the Canadians do label their stuff for allergy stuff. There is some out there that isn't safe.

Are you all not addicted to peanuts like it seems we are here (don't get me wrong...nuts are not evil and are a healthy part of a non-allergic person's diet)? Just seems like more stuff doesn't have the same issues that we do.

I just was so happy since it is a rare find to get chocolate items that are safe!

Don't know if they are there, but Smarties, Coffee Crisp, Kit Kat & Aero are peanut free here too. The little ones are good for Halloween :)

Oh, I'll join in too.

I just found the Gluten Free Bisquick -- another product of Canada. It seems like a lot of our gluten free products come from Canada.

I know that a lot of products are nut-free, due to most of our public schools (at least the multitude that my children have been registered in, in BC & Saskatchewan, and family in Alberta & Manitoba) being nut free.

This is such great news!!! Thank you for posting! We have given up on many things because of the possibility of nut contam from the plant... so now off to look for Canadian manufactured items! Glad to have hope. Thank you!
