Girls, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your love, prayers, positive thoughts and congrats on my boy. I am incredibly humbled by the love and friendship I have received from all of you over the last 8 months since finding out I was going to be a grandmother. It was quite the journey but, I wouldn't trade one moment and he is worth every bit of it!
Breanna gave a text book delivery. I was/am proud of her beyond words! She was given Pitocin at 9:30 pm but it didn't do too much really. Then, the doctor came in and broke her water at 12:30 am. By about her 3rd contraction after breaking her water, she was feeling some pretty hard labor. She did receive some pain meds to help relax her through her IV at 12:45 and again at 2:45. At 4:50 a.m. JohnIsaac Benjamin entered the world and blessed our lives. Her father, older sister, my mother and myself were with her the entire time. She wanted her Daddy to stay until the actual delivery but in the heat of the moment, she didn't want him to leave. He stayed up by her head and didn't see anything that would have surely made him pass out. LOL We all cried so hard. I had a puddle of tears on the floor from all of the happy tears I shed. We even had the nurse that was assisting crying pretty hard. It was the most moving, beautiful and unique experience and I will never forget it. Becoming a grandmother and holding him in my arms is a feeling that can only be felt, not described. I fall more in love with him every time I look at him. He is truly a blessing!
And here are a few pictures of my little man from the past few days:
