I promised some pictures of Jacob going off to college. It was a REALLY hard day today as we moved him in. I, of course, bawled like crazy. I did stop short of wearing his baby shoes around my neck and making a fool of myself. :p I really appreciate the awesome ideas for care packages for Jacob! I'm very excited about making up fun things to send! I'll post more in that thread tomorrow. Anyway, here are a couple of pics of Jacob. In the top row, my 2 boys are hugging each other. Jacob and Logan will miss each other a lot. For an 11 year difference, they are pretty close. In the bottom row, Jacob is with his roommate Tommy. (Jacob is on his loft bad ladder, he and Tommy are the same height. LOL) They have known each other since elementary school and I'm just thrilled they are roomies. Jacob will be going to school to be a civil engineer. Thank goodness for scholarships is all I can say! I'm incredibly proud of this amazing man!

Good luck with things. My brother really missed me, and I was only 15 minutes away (we're a 12 year age difference).

My DD started Kindergarten this year and I can only imagine what it will be like when she's off to college! :( I'm enjoying every minute of her being with us now and while I will be so proud of her and excited for that adventure I'm really glad it isn't going to be for a while! I'm sure all those years came flooding in as memories as you dropped him off! I still remember my parents dropping me off at college and how we all were in tears!!! I'm sure he is going to do great things as a civil engineer!! awesome!

Yay Julie - I'm glad you made it through that hurdle! He looks so happy and that is so cool that Jacob is roomies with such a good friend! Grant had to go random, but it's working out fine. :)
Now keep extra busy this week as the tears are not over and keeping busy is really the best thing to do!!

Awww...Julie, big hugs! :hugs: I'm sure that was a tough thing for you, but look at you being such a good scrap mommy and documenting this important milestone! And kudos to Jacob for being such a good sport and posing for all those pics. He looks very happy (and is such a cutie!). Hang in there, mama.

I know how hard it is since my daughter left in June. She wont be starting school til next year though. It does get easier I think. I missed her alot for like the first month or so but after I went to her house and saw how proud she was and how happy she was to be able to live on her own it made it a little easier. I still get kinda lonely being the only female with three boys in the house!!
Awww, what a handsome son you got there! He looks so much like you Julie!! Such sweet pictures. Hugs to mama and son! :)
