Tomorrow's the BIG day!

Waving from Sedona, Az.! :thumbup: We picked up our marriage license this morning and tomorrow we will finally be married. 9 years is a very long engagement, let me tell you, but it's been well worth the wait.

I'm sitting here with a few hours to myself since DF has gone back to Phoenix to pick up his parents so I thought I'd check in here for a minute and say hi.

I'll try to check in again later in the week before we head off on our honeymoon.

Thanks girls!!! The day was perfect albeit extremely HOT. The ceremony was exactly what we wanted and the rest of it, well, I can't tell you because I was too caught up with my husband to notice much of anything else. :D


As for our honeymoon, we are doing a bit of a National Park/Monument tour. We're doing the Grand Canyon this week, then off to visit a friend for a couple of days. After that we are heading for Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Mount Rushmore and a few other, smaller ones on our way back to New Orleans to catch our flight home on the 14th. Not your average honeymoon, but it suits us and what we like to do.

I think your honeymoon sounds perfect actually! That's exactly what DH and I wanted to do (not the same places, but the travel around and see cool touristy stuff). We wanted to tour the Oregon coast, but only had 5 days, so we picked a cute little town about 4 hours away that had lots to do, and just toured & enjoyed each other.

Just because you're not going to a tropical destination that some people expect & desire, I don't think you would call your honeymoon "not average"... the most important is not where you go, but that you are together & in love & appreciating each other!

LOL if we'd actually had invitations then I'd have made them, but it was a really small wedding with just us and DH's parents, who flew over from the Netherlands for the wedding, and the minister. therefore invitations really weren't necessary. I'll be making invitations for our recpetion back home when I get back though.
