about some random MSA user adding lots of LOs to their faves without ever commenting? I'm searching for it, but can't find it. This one person adds nearly all of my LOs at MSA to her faves, but she's never commented. I looked her up and it looks like she has ONE layout of her own and like 3 posts. I'm probably being dumb, but it just makes me a tad nervous. Obviously these are public galleries and I know that...IDK, this just is a bit weird to me, kwim? :huh:

Anyone remember discussing this before?

Whenever I see a LO I like from the GSO blog (which are almost always from MSA) I add it to my favorites, but rarely comment cause I am reading blogs not browsing galleries.

It happens to almost EVERY layout of mine too... so strange! It is always the same user who favs them, but they have nothing posted.

it wouldn't really bother me honestly, I look at it as the same way as someone clicking like on a photo of mine on fb instead of writing something.. I'm lazy- If i click fav on a layout it's just the same as me gushing that i love you ^_^ (not that i scrap much. .or even go to msa :p but still)

Right--I do the same, occasionally. But this is the same person on nearly every LO of mine...and like I said, she doesn't have a gallery or anything. Maybe I'm just being weird. :blink:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's the same person for all of us... I remember Gemma in the thread confirming that it's not her but that the username is similar.

Thanks, Elizabeth!!! It IS the same one...and she's doing it to Kristin, too. I think that's really odd...like does she just sit and watch the gallery all day adding to faves? I do think it's weird and it does bother me a bit...IDK why, exactly, but it does. :blink:

Did anyone ever ask MSA to look into it? I can see why it would make you nervous, but I can also think of legit reasons for her to be doing it. I'm guessing it's someone who's not too active in the community, maybe who doesn't post her own LOs for privacy reasons but still lifts others' in her own scrapping. I admit to being one who looks in the gallery without commenting much. Most of my gallery time is with a child in my arms during bedtime, so commenting is tough. I try to comment if I favorite, but if wasn't active here and posting my own LOs I could easily see myself skipping it.

There are definitely no children in my gallery.

I know at MSA you can subscribe to RSS feeds for individual galleries. Is it possible that's what she's done and that's how she adds them all?

yeah, she's faved mmy photoless layouts in addition to all my other ones so I'm not really worried about security stuff, and I bet that's exactly what she does... I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and think that she's faving like we "like" on Facebook, just like La said.

It's just a letdown when you see a ton of new messages thinking you've got some love on your layouts and find there aren't any comments and it's just her faving them. I need to remember that sometimes just faving is a sign of love :)

That's good to know. Maybe she's just adding all of these to lift/look at for inspiration later...at least that's what I'm going to tell myself. :p Glad to know she's adding a variety and not just kiddos--that makes me less concerned than before. Thanks everyone!

The same thing has happened to me at MSA also - same user too from what I can tell from everyone else's comments. It weirds me out a little too but not as much now that I know I'm not the only one. LOL

She's been adding my pages for a while now... I would like to know the deal? I looked at her favorites once and realized she does like a ton of them a day... how can that be helpful? I will use mine if there's something that inspires me but to have that many I would just get confused.

Same here. She ads all my paper style layouts. I'm thinking she is a scrapper who doesn't post online and she wants to scraplift or copy them. She's probably a very good customer at SSD! :)

Honestly, I first thought she's a person I "know" from our forums here at SSD, since usernames are similar and was wondering what was the deal that she favorites all my pages over at MSA. But when I just went and checked, I realized it's not the same person as our SSD friend. But she has a lot of pages at DST, and either doesn't have the time to do any scrapping, or - like some of you said - she just doesn't upload them anymore. But I'm like Lynette - I have no kids of my own, and though I occasionally scrap my sister's family (without any reference to anything that could give away personal information - that's the conditions under which she allows me to use her photos), I mostly scrap my own stuff - things, places, myself (grown-up stuff). I don't think we need to worry about this, too much.

And yeah, though I prefer comments (and thanks for all the lovely comments I've received from so many of you recently), being favorited in itself is a huge compliment for me, so I don't want to have an attitude about this!

I wouldn't let it bother me. I used to right click and save layouts that I wanted to use for inspiration and/or scraplift. I had a folder on my desktop called "inspiration" and in they went. I don't see how this is any different, except when I right clicked, the poster never knew I did it. By adding them to her favorites, she's let everyone know she's doing it, and made everyone nervous.

I, on the other hand, love using templates or scraplifting others (giving them credit in my credits line of course) just because I sometimes lose my mojo... but again, I always comment and give the original layout credit...
