Help Me Girls

I want to send something out to some of the local photographers looking for some externship training. basically I just want to go learn from someone hands on how to do photography, I will help them with odds and ends stuff (carrying equipment, running errands, etc). But, since I have been int he Navy for 20 years, I am not even sure how to write something like this. Can you girls help me out or give me some pointers? I want to add the fact that I am retiring in Dec and will be available anytime after Dec 22nd. So please HELP ME!!! I AM LOST!!!!!:blink::blink::blink:

I don't know if this will help - but it's an idea - I know that when I was in school in Va and took a photography class my instructor knew all the "good"/"serious" photographers in the area. If it were me I would start at the local community college/ Art school and hit up the head of the department with your idea. They might be able to steer you in the right direction and know who you could start with

I would just write out a simple letter telling them a little bit about yourself & your interest in photography. That you would eventually like to work as a photographer & would love to get some hands on experience.
Let them know your skill level & what you're wanting to learn.

I think that being 20 years in the Navy pretty much qualifies you for ANY job you want! :thumbup:
