Hello Everyone, wanted to introduce myself, I'm Ashlie, and I have just recently started my Digital Scrapbooking endeavor! Anyone one have any suggestions or tips for me?

Hi, Ashlie! Welcome to SSD! My advice..scrap often! The more you scrap, the better you know your program, the better you'll be! And jump into our Portfolio challenges this month!

Welcome! :) I agree with Darcy learn your program and scrap often. A lot of new folks love templates (and even some older folks love em too lol) and we have a ton of those in the store to check out. They are pretty much a step by step guide to the perfect layout :)

Welcome to SSD! :)

I hope you enjoy digi scrapping and I can't wait to see more of your pages in the gallery! And if you ever get stuck on your program this is an awesome place to ask for help! :)

Welcome!! I am still a bit new myself but I feel like I live here now.:) Definitely do the Portfolio. Its a great way to get organized and motivated with your scrapbooking projects. Also, the coupon is very motivating too. I can't wait to get my very first one next week!

Welcome! Darcy is right... scrap often!

I will say the thing that has helped me most is this: Search the gallery. Find layouts that fit the style you love and would love to emulate. Scraplift them. Find a template designer that designs a way that you want to design and practice that, too. For example, if you want clusters and lots of layering, scraplift those, and buy templates that do that... if you want something with white space, lift those.

I struggled to find a "style" the first year and a half of scrapping, but now that I've found it, I don't depend on templates or lifting to create a page in a style I love (though many, MANY times, I'll use templates or lifting!!!)

Welcome! I agree with what everyone has said. Scrap often and get to know your program, use templates, scraplift and check out the galleries, and ask questions. Digi scrappers are really friendly and love to help people out! So post a thread if you are confused and you will get a bunch of help!

Thank you to everyone, I really appreciate all the input! I jumped in on the portfolio challenges for this month, certainly something I didn't get from paper scrapping, and it has definately helped me do more pages and to think a little more about my pages:) I finally figured out the layout templates last week!! Those rock!!! I am still working with PSE, it still frustrates me sometimes, but it's great to know I have somewhere to come for help when I need it.

Could someone tell me, is there a restriction on how many uploads you can do ??? I am only allowed 2 a day and I have a few I want to upload for the DSD challenges...
