I was just stretching- and had turned and looked at my bum. you know you do it too... the "is my butt fat today" look..
I didn't say this of course..
but apparently all males. .even 6 year olds .. know the look women give themselves..

except 6 year olds don't have to suck up to you..

ce just said, very innocently, "it's ok. The cat has a fat butt too."

lol
thanks.

That was great. I'm sure you DON'T have a fat butt... but his response is priceless.

oh out of the mouth of babes....

if it makes you feel even slightly better, my middle child, who is 21 months, doesn't really 'talk', but communicates more with sign, was watching me get dressed & signed "baby" & pointed at my belly....

:/

no baby in there....not for the past 8 months...nor ever again.

:D That's cute!

To my girls, anything bigger than their head is unbelievably humoungus to them, and they're at just the right height right now, that they're head level with my behind... So everytime they turn around and it's there unexpectedly (lol, ok, they're 5, they're always running into me, and on top of me all day long) they totally freak out and run screaming away from 'mommy's huge butt!!' lmbo, sometimes they walk so closely behind me that they're not ready when I stop and they walk right into me :p

LOL Don't you just love kids? Must admit, it would make my day though for all the laughing. I once got asked by a kid (back when I was single), if I have a husband. When the ansawer was no, the little cutie girl thought really hard and then said: But why don't you have a husband, you're old! For the records, I was 26 then. Couldn't stop giggling.

HOLY COW!! That's hysterical! I think I would be looking around for the 'other' older males in the house to blame for putting that in the kid's head!

LOL. When he's a little older and socially conscious enough to give the right response/reassurance, he's going to be very popular with the girls. My 7 year old would be clueless about the look now, and I can picture him as a 15 year old telling the girl that yes, her butt does look fat.

That is hilarious La! Ce is such a character!

I was completely mortified the other day in Walmart by my DD. She loves Backyardigans and there are a couple pirate episodes, and they wear eye patches. Well, in WM, a man with an eye patch walked by us, and she shouted "Look, Mom! A pirate!!!" I wanted to crawl in a hole and die. Thankfully he didn't seem to hear (or maybe didn't understand, because Pirate sounds more like "pie-ette" - she misses the R).

LOL, that is too funny. It seems that my daughter is also adept at saying things at the most inopportune times (or maybe it is just Wal-Mart) When she was 3, we had this time where she would do the funniest things, and we would laugh and dh would say, oh, your killin me!! So they are walking through the store, and DH said something she found amusing, and so she yells out - Daddy! you KIDNAP me! Dh wanted to crawl under the shelves..
