Here's how my day's gone so far:
1. Woken up with, "Honey, you've got a huge mess to clean. The pork leaked everywhere." (Um, I've got a huge mess to clean? Last I heard, you eat twice as much as I do.)
2. When I asked, "What do you mean by everywhere?" DH responded, "Well, obviously not up." (Okay, thanks. Sarcasm not helpful or necessary.)
3. Women from our church showed up to visit at 9. I had forgotten about their appointment. Luckily the living room was cleaned and I had showered and dressed. I had, however, just poured a bowl of cereal. So I had to eat it in front of them so it didn't get soggy.
4. Major disaster of the day: Costco stopped carrying my favorite salsa. This is a MAJOR crisis. I am seriously addicted to salsa (I do live in New Mexico, after all). I wanted to cry.
5. Ice cream melted on the way home from the store.
6. Kids missed their nap.
7. Forgot we were feeding the missionaries tonight. Scrambling to find what to make.
7. Got a phone call from my parents. They're trying to pay for a vacation home rental, and the people renting require a deposit directly to a Bank of America account. There are no Bank of America branches in Utah. Which means I have to do it for them. I got this phone call as I was pulling into my driveway from being out at the store (and 30 seconds away from Bank of America) all afternoon. There go my plans for hiding out at home tomorrow.
8. DH has Cub Scouts tonight, which means I've got the bedtime routine on my own. For three kids who didn't take naps and who will be supremely exhausted.
