So.. the account expires after a year right? If I add another webkinz does it keep it going ? and keep the original one alive? or does it all shut down after a year? How does that work?

Your account will extend one year from the date of each adoption. So if you adopt one today, it expires a year from today. If you add another on December 1, you account then expires a year from that day instead. And yes, the original one stays alive. You can't kill Webkinz no matter how hard you try. They can/do get sick though. Just take them to the doctor and they're fine again. :D

We got to a point with the boys where we'd only let them adopt a new pet every 3-4 months. It'd be better if you got another YEAR added at the end since you're technically paying for a year's use of the site with each purchase, yk?

I have a question to tack onto this and if anyone has this answer I'd appreciate it.

I had a webkin, a very cool Phoenix, but through my lack of paying attention my year was up. Now my account is expired. If I bought another webkin, would it reactivate the account and give me back my Phoenix?

We bought a new one and reactivated...and the old ones were still there. :)

Amelia loves her Webkinz, but she has a netbook and it's hard for her, it's too small to play the games on LOL

Yep, new ones will reactivate. I had to jump through a couple hoops with the boys' accounts, but it did work. (They asked me to provide codes for some of their existing pets on the account. I'm very glad I kept all of those tags now!!)

Thank you! I should get a new webkinz so I can play Tumble Tiles some more. Love that game, wish they had it for the iTouch. LOL

We haven't done any Webkinz yet, but my 1st grader is bored with his current websites and looking for something new. He's not that into animals (unless they have Lightsabers or superhero capes, LOL), but I wonder if he'd like it anyway. He likes the things you can do with pets on Jumpstart, but there he can also fly. What kinds of activities do they have on the Webkinz site? Can a beginning reader do it? Thanks!

there are a bunch of games, about 30?, most 1st graders could do them after you read the instructions to him. Also they can decorate their house. That is my son's favorite thing to do. I play the games (earning lots of webkinz dollars) and he spends the money on decorations for the house. LOL He also plays the games. I think it's really fun. You buy a webkinz (costs vary from $10-15) and you have that stuffed animal and a fun and safe website for the kiddo. It's a good deal.

Thanks, Julie! Maybe we'll give it a try. I'll have to get one for my 4.5 year old, too, and I bet he'll love it!

there are general knowledge trivia questions too (in various subject topics, animals, health, math, etc)-- ce loves those. they have them broken down b y age group. There's enough time to read the question to the kid & read the answers to them if they cant read well enough.
