Template locked

I'm scrapping with a template, and accidentally saved my changes over the template, rather than doing a save as. My PS crashed, and when I open up the .tif file, it's no longer layered, and the background is locked. Anyone know how I can fix that?

Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to convert a flattened image back to a layered image :(
