I'm new to posting at the Sweet Shoppe. Can someone offer me suggestions on sizing my layouts appropriately? I posted two layouts today - they ended up being around 450 pixels (to get under the 150 kb limit), but they look fairly grainy. Is there something else I should be doing? I'm fairly new to digital scrapbooking in general, but love Sweet Shoppe designs so I figured I should start sharing my work :)

Make sure you flatten your layout, then resize to 500x500. Go to File>Save for Web Devices. Once you're in the pop up screen, make sure you have .jpeg chosen for the drop down menu under Presets. Once done, you can use the slider bar to the far right to adjust the size of the layout, and can keep it just under 200kb for SSD. (some other galleries have different criteria, most around 150-200kb). Then hit save and save as you normally would.

I don't see a slider bar... the only way I see to adjust the size is to change the pixels. The preset choices for jpeg are high, med, or low. When I selected jpeg high, the size was right at 100 kb (for 500x500). This is how I saved the two layouts I already posted, but I left them as gif. Does it make a difference if I choose jpeg instead of gif?

It makes a HUGE difference. Gif almost always comes out grainy.
