I just got the Samsung Intercept for Sprint..which is a droid phone and I'm still trying to figure out what apps to get lol. SO I'll be watching this thread for sure.

Angry Birds game!!!! It's irritatingly addictive--I also love my amazon kindle app-Tipulator to figure out tips--Photogene to edit photos--I've had it awhile so there may be better ones out there--I also use Colorsplash for photo editing....there's also a lot of free apps for different stores like Best Buy, Target and Amazon....that's just to name a few I have. A lot depends on what you plan to do a lot with your Iphone--Hope this helps because all the apps out there can be a bit overwhelming!!

for awhile I was googling "Verizon iPhone" everyday :p. But last week DH and I decided to just go ahead and switch to Verizon and get Android phones. I will try not to weep too much if a Verizon iPhone is announced next month.

(Now I google Samsung Fascinate Gingerbread :p)

I have an itouch, but the apps are the same. My fave app is the kindle app. I've been reading free books from Amazon since I got it this summer =) The only apps I've paid for so far are Angry Birds & Fruit Ninja. My dh really loves the ding app from Southwest Airlines - it send you cheap fares for cities you are interested in - also free.

I bet it will coincide with the iPhone 5 release. You might want to wait for that Lydia. I couldn't wait and went from a 3G to iPhone 4 last weekend. But my 3G wouldn't charge anymore (the input connection was loose) and was over 2 years old. It is now basically an iTouch when I can get it to charge.

Well, I'm waiting for a Verizon iPhone no matter what. But, as soon as it's available, I'll have one. My current phone malfunctions all the time and drives me nuts. I'm just trying to make it last till I can get the iPhone. But, I won't go to an Android phone, because one of the most important things for me is that it sync seamlessly with my Mac Address Book, iCal, etc. And, therefore, it needs to be a Mac OS. So, I'm waiting till the Verizon thing happens.

That is the main reason why I love my iphone. I also have mobileme so all I had to do when I got my new phone was input my login and in seconds everything was loaded.

Verizon has some device that just takes your contacts off your iPhone and puts them on your new phone.

But I use gmail for contacts so I just logged in and all my contacts were on my new phone.

Got hubby to admit that if a Verizon iPhone is available when it's time for his upgrade he will go back to an iPhone.

I must say though as much as I miss iPhonia, I have not had a single dropped call yet with Verizon.
