Do any of you do it?
My doctor recommended it to help with my arthritis (which is grossly unfair to have at almost 24... ) but I have no idea where to begin.
Any advice, ideas, or suggestions?

I do..
just starting out i'd do something like yogalates- combines pilates & yoga and is easier on you to get going.. I have a dvd that I used when i first started it's called total body toner (http://www.amazon.com/Louise-Solomons-Yoga-Pilates-Total/dp/B0001IXU6C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1293767276&sr=8-2).. has 4 sections etc (3 easier and the 4th one is closer to real full yoga)
ps i have athritis too.. i feel ya. it's poop. def go the easy route first... with something like this...... When I don't do yoga for a wh ile I def feel it in my wrists especially.

I used to and really miss it... it did wonders for my hip injury... I would recommend taking a class since the instructor can make sure you're doing the poses correctly, once you've learned how the position actually feels then you can do it at home with a video (and I recommend a mirror)... I really need to get back into it after this pregnancy which has totally messed my hip up.

There's a free podcast on itunes that puts out a new 30 minute episode every week called YOGAmazing. I like it when I get around to it! :) His Yoga for Beginners episodes are especially good. Yoga really helped a relative of mine with arthritis. Good luck!

I only think to do it when I'm super sore from running, which hardly ever happens. Too bad, because I really love it, and the classes at the gym are included in my membership. I really need to go more.

Thanks ladies!! I'll check out some of the videos first. I'm like embarrassingly uncoordinated and I'd rather make a fool of myself at home. lol Besides the fact I'd have to drive 45 minutes to an hour to find somewhere that would do classes.

If you are in a city, I would look for an extra gentle yoga class or something taught by a physical therapist. Either of those should know more about body mechanics and how to do the right things than a 'fitness' type yoga teacher. If after you visit/try those classes you feel you could do more, then you'll have the confidence to look for more advanced classes.
