for NYE? new years day?
anything fun?
lemme live vicariously through all of you! :p
i will be staying home with mah babies. DH is gone to TX on a hunting trip so it's just gonna be me and the girlies. i was supposed to go to a wedding tonight, but with DH gone, i just don't feel like taking the 45 min trek up north by chicago on NYE alone.
tomorrow i'm taking the girls to see tangled (finally), hit up target (to get these SUPER cute red shoes i've wanted for.ever.), come home for naps and then go to the in-laws for italian beef sandwiches.

Well, we are in the lull between a double blizzard. The second round hits this evening. Thus me and the baby are just gonna hang out, watch TV and do nothing. If the weather clears out by tomorrow morning like its supposed to, I might take him to see Tron.

Nothing here either... we always go to the radio station for my FIL's polka/big band radio show, but with this crazy weather they are saying it's suppose to turn to ice tonight after midnight... our plans are changing. Hubby will go up along to get his dad's show ready.. and kiddo and I will hang back. Maybe we'll do a movie marathon tonight. No plans for tomorrow...

No real plans. I am making a bunch of little appetizer type foods, and renting some movies. So when hubby gets home, we are going to have a little family party.
Is it sad that I probably wont be awake at midnight?

I'm not doing much, just family stuff. We'll probably eat ice cream and watch movies then the ball drop. I don't know if anyone other than me will make it til midnight though. I have a 12 year old (my sister who lives with us) who may stay awake, but I'm pretty sure no one else will make it other than me. LOL

No plans here it's only 3 hours until midnight but I doubt I'll be awake lol!!
Not sure what's happening tomorrow, the boys migh tbe going to their Nana's and then I might see if OH wants to go to the cinema, if the boys stay here I'll probably take them out for something to eat! :)
We're gonna be boring here too. I'm making a cheese ball if that's exciting enough for ya! :) We still need to take the kids to see Tangled as well. Maybe we'll do that tomorrow.

This is pretty much what we are doing, replace renting movies with streaming something from Netflix.

We're not doing a whole lot either. We're all making lots of food and heading to my in-law'se house (which conveniently enough for us is on the same block :)). We'll probably play my SIL's new dance game on the Wii (could be Just Dance, not sure though), play cards and hang out. We're always very low key on New Year's and I like it that way.
Oh yes - your girls will LOVE Tangled!! I took Libby to see it a few weeks ago and she actually didn't lost interest like she usually does when we take her to a movie. That says a lot about it!!
Just scrapping, fuming about my recent visit with my Mother, and waiting for midnight when the store opens and they announce the new challenge system (I hope).

I'm home alone tonight, doing laundry, watching criminal minds marathon or maybe a movie. Tomorrow I'm going to pick up DD and eat the traditional New Years lunch, then we're going to visit my BFF (msdragonfly) and her hubby and kids.

My kids are all going to the party at the high school so I'll be here alone with the hubs. We're gonna just watch some movies.

We are going to do an early dinner at Applebee's (because we have a GC ;) ), then snacks the rest of the night. There will be LOTS of football watching going on both today and tomorrow and I might do some scrapping tonight. I'll be taking down Christmas tomorrow - I can't focus on the new year until that is done!

We're planning to lift Traci's idea of setting up a tent in the living room (with lights and all) and watching movies. No plans at all for tomorrow. I hope to be scrapping with some of the new gorgeousness from the store tomorrow!

No way I'm going to be awake at midnight. We went out to lunch and saw Deathly Hallows, and I bawled my eyes out. Between that and no caffeine this afternoon, I've got a massive migraine hanging out. I think dh and kids are planning to do a Mummy marathon on DVD later, but right now it's pawn star. Frozen appetizers for dinner.

We were talking about going to the zoo for their lights festival but with the weather the way it has been today and how much nesting we did today, my body or should I say the baby is saying "take it easy mama". So we'll probably do what we normally do and have a little party with the kids and countdown at 7pm with whoever is celebrating at that time, lol. Then hubby and I will probably just hang out and make our game plan for tomorrow's nesting and go to bed at our normal time.
Tomorrow will just be another work day, working on the house to get some things done that need to be done before baby's bday.

oh FUN, Misty!!! good for you guys!
Thanks! Know what is really sad? My little nephew is visiting too, so my parents have all 3 grandkids and my mom went all out. She's planned a scavenger hunt, make-your own mini pizzas, milkshakes, movies, finger painting, some sort of 'wishes for 2011' activity, etc.. As DH and I were dropping them off, the kids were already digging into the party hats and blowers and I thought, "Hey this looks fun, maybe we should hang out here." DH just rolled his eyes and drug me out the door, lol.

Hanging around the house watching TV and scrapping...I'm finally feeling scrappy again. DH and I will probably toast with some sparkling grape juice if we stay up long enough...I know I at least want to be up until 11 when I'm hoping the new challenges are posted :) That's a bigger deal to me than any ringing in of the new year. Honestly New Years is a nothing day to me...it just means that I hang up a new calendar instead of just flipping the page.

For the first year in a long time we are not spending New Years with family, and are partying with friends. I can't WAIT! I'm just about to go get all pretty and dressed up. :)
Happy New Year everyone!!

We're staying home with the kiddos. Hubby is picking up a take/bake pizza in town. We'll visit with my IL's who are 'renting' our little car this week. I'll probably work on a sewing project I'm in the midst of.
Tomorrow we'll go grocery shopping & start our 'new' organized year.
Nothing special...& most likely won't see midnight (at least not Pacific time zone midnight..lol)

We are planning to stay home with the kids... order chinese food. We will have treats, play the Wii, and maybe play Disney Scene It. Kind of excited to just to do us with out little family, this will be the first time we have ever stayed home and played with the kids on NYE. :) Tomorrow DH is going snowmobiling, and the kids and I and Grandma are going to see Yogi Bear. :) I haven't been feeling the best, so my cleaning lady is coming tomorrow to do all the deep down, so I am excited for that!! (Wow I sound boring! :))

Just got back from the grocery. I'll be making some munchies and we're having steak tonight.
Football is on now. Football will be on tomorrow.
I'm planning on checking out the GGG sale and maybe even getting some scrapping done! I'll probably also watch some of the "NYE events" on tv -- hope I don't fall asleep.

DH and I usually stay home now with all the kiddos so I'm fixing some 'Surf 'N Turf' and some champagne cocktails (and hot cocoa for the munchkins) and watchin' some movies - and I'll probably be in bed by 9!
Just hanging out at home. We had dinner at the ILs and have a pretty low-key day planned tomorrow.

No big plans here either. DD and I went skiing today for a bit (it was almost 40 degrees today so it felt like spring skiing ) Tonight we made a bunch of appetizers and have been having a movie marathon. We'll see in the New Year and then crash until about 9 tomorrow morning (I hope - LOL).
No plans for tomorrow - have to see what the weather is like. Maybe some ice skating or hiking... maybe a movie if it's not nice out.

I'll be here... in the chat room. :D DH is working (he traded NYE for Christmas so he could be home with us then.) We made tacos for dinner and will have ice cream later. Also bought a few new games for the Kinect tonight so the boys will probably play while I chat/scrap.
I'll be lucky to see midnight on the West coast. :D
I'm spending new years eve with my baby, husband after 1030, and my brother. Right now we are all watching how I met your mother! we will probably grab a beer later

Nothing exciting here, either. DH unexpectedly went out of town because his father isn't doing too well. The kids and I watched a movie and went all out decorating cookies for our NYE treat, then we counted down with blowers at 8 pm while DH listened over the phone. I finally finished cleaning the kitchen, and I'm hoping to scrap for an hour or so until I wake my 7 year old to see the ball drop (he is SO excited about it, LOL) and call DH at midnight.
No plans for tomorrow. Our original plan was a winter festival that I can't do myself with all 3 kids, so we'll probably just be home.

It's already New Year's here, about 55 min ago. My kids all stayed up, we had a few little fireworks in the yard, and made some snacks. It was good, but I think I'd like a night out with DH next year...we've never gone out.

The new year came and went over 14 hours ago! We stayed in, as we always do, eatting junk food and playing games. We got a couple new games for Christmas that have been a big hit: Wii Active Life Explorer and Travel Mania board game. We watched the Japanese ring in the New Year, woke up family in the states and then I went to bed. The guys stayed up past 5AM!!! (we let the kids stay up as late as they want.) As for today, NOTHING!

We ended up having kind of an impromptu New Years Eve ... Mom & her dh were in town for the holidays...and I heard from my friend and her dh ... so they all came over here and we played Mexican Train Dominoes until almost midnight. ...ate lots of food/snacks ... nice and easy kind of night...but a rare one with us together.

For NYE, I went over to my fiance's place, where we ended up having dinner and watching Lost with his roommates. I've never watched Lost, I don't care at all about Lost, so I kind of sat there boredly. We had roast for dinner (which I don't eat) so I munched on potatoes. Lol. It was interesting. But after they went to bed, my fiance and I talked and cuddled and discussed our ideas for the year ahead, so it was still a really nice night.
For NYD, we had ham for dinner, but otherwise did nothing special. I also don't eat ham, so, I just stuck to sides.
My NYE and NYD were uneventful... I SO don't live an exciting life ;)
