View Full Version : Guilty pleasures?

So for as long as I've known him, Jordan has always been a lover of dessert. He has either cookies and milk, or ice cream almost every single night. I always thought it was silly, but also cute. I got tired of making cookies all the time, so now he makes his own, lol.

Well a few months ago, I started stealing cookies from him. First it was just one or two when they were warm and gooey and fresh from the oven. Then I started wanting one a few days after that too.

Jordan got tired of my thievery, and implemented a mandatory milk rule. He doesn't think I drink enough milk (which I don't), and so if I want to have a cookie I have to also drink a talk glass of milk with it.

Well now, I'm all ABOUT cookies and milk! Lol! I try and do it only once a week or so, because I do NOT need cookies every night (if you know what I mean). Jordan now teases me for stealing his cookies, and it feels like a guilty pleasure, lol.

So what's your guilty pleasure?

Uuuuuum, my guilty pleasures are potato chips. LOL Like I can just keep on eating them with no end in sight. :D

Non-food wise, it would be: Twilight, fanfiction, YouTube, Korean and Japanese pop music... oh man the list goes on :D

Schwan's Caramel Cashew ice cream. They just discontinued it (of course they did) but my Schwan's dude tracked down 15 pints for me. And I bought them all and am rationing them out as best I can. But it's seriously the most delicious ice cream I've EVER had. So smooth and creamy. I'm drooling just thinking about it. Maybe it's a good thing that they've stopped making it, although when I get to my last pint, I know I'm gonna cry.

Starbucks. I know it's ridiculously overpriced tea but I have to make so many other sacrifices with what I can eat that I DON'T CARE!!!

Well we just got Trader Joes in town a couple months ago and I am in LOVE with their chocolate covered peanut butter pretzels. I am not normally a huge PB fan, but there is something about the saltiness of the pretzel along with the PB and chocolate. YUM!!!

I love those big (and pricey) gourmet chocolate & nut covered apples...thankfully we RARELY ever buy one (less than a yearly event for our family).
I also love beef jerky...the real stuff that is...not that pressed-and-formed-posing as jerky stuff.

Non-food wise...I still love my 80s pop/hair metal bands.

... and I should add for myself: Peter Cetera, Backstreet Boys (boybands, really), Lady Gaga...

Non-food wise; magazines. Lifestyle, Interior, Fashion, Indie zines. I can't get enough!

I was just saying to db (dear boyfriend, hahah) last night that I haven't bought Cosmo or Cleo for two months! I'm weaning myself off those two self esteem ruiners :D

Food: Toasted peanut butter and cinammon butter sandwiches :o

Music: When I'm not working out, I listen to good music. When I'm working out, it has to be crappy pop music. It's the only thing that gets me moving and I love it LOL

Books: I love contemporary romance books, not sleazy stuff but TOTAL literary fluff. I like good books too, but mostly I just want brain candy when I sit down with my kindle.

I'm not really sure anybody's named anything yet that isn't a weakness for me! Particularly the potato chips & the "bad" Mexican food . . . just plain dangerous for me to be around that stuff.

I've also developed a recent addiction to Starbucks Mocha Lattes. I used to rag on DH all the time for going there so much . . . they're definitely overpriced & I don't even really like their stuff that much. But a few months back I tried a Mocha Latte & I don't think I've gone a week without one since!
