I'm so happy, I just have to share! Today our first foster baby was adopted, they are the nicest couple. He was with us for 6 months and then transitioned to his adoptive home and they've been so terrific about keeping in touch with us. We were invited to the adoption today and I put together a little video to celebrate! I can't post any pics of my foster kids while they're in care (privacy concerns) so I'm thrilled that I finally get to share this little cutie with the world now that I have his parents' permission  I've been on cloud nine all day....he is happy, healthy and loved- what every child deserves!

This is just so special. I'm just sitting here with tears streaming down my face!

I was in a foster home for the first 7 months of my life. My foster mother tried to adopt me but she was single and too old. (this was many years ago). My mom really wanted to try to find her and thank her for all the love she gave to me during those months. I remember even when I was in high school, she would still talk to people that she knew that were foster parents or were involved with that agency trying to find her. We never did find her, but I've never forgotten that I was so loved by her and that my parents were always so grateful for all she did.

Thank you for sharing this!

Thats so awesome that he got a loving home with a family who really cares about him. Great job being so strong to open up your heart and home to a tiny person in need.

My DD was also with a wonderful foster family for the first 7 months of her life. The photos they sent me of those months are some of the most important photos in the world to me. It takes very special people to do what you do -- I don't think I could get attached and then let go like foster parents have to do! I'm so happy for little Ethan and his new family!

We have a little girl (15 months old) right now that we are hoping to adopt, too! I'll keep you in my prayers!

Thanks for sharing your foster care stories....it helps to know that the love we give them while they're with us, they will carry with them as they go through life. I admit, letting him go was the hardest thing I've ever done. But I know that he is absolutely right where he was always meant to be- he is the center of their world
