You ladies remember when I had car troubles in November? And got them fixed?
Then you remember when I took it to a different place when it broke down again, told them what the last place did was NOT needing to be done again, but they needed to dig deeper and do more? They had my car for almost a week, replaced parts the LAST place did (like I told them not to), then gave it back, and 9 days later it broke down only a week later?
Then I took it back to them and they apologized and repaired it for free (very sweet of them), and it was TA DA! Fixed, running well, blah blah blah... and then I drove it four times. FOUR. Had it about a week.
Fast forward to today. Remember, I've only had my car back for about a week. Again.
My car won't start. I'm stranded at school waiting for a ride home.
If this car has one more issue that is EXACTLY the same, I'm going to be really super angry.

sorry you aRE having problems. My husband is a mechanic and we had a pathfinder years ago. He replaced the started probably 4 times in a month. With the fourth one it finally worked. Hopefully they will figure out what is exactly wrong with it and can get it fixed. The next time you have it done I would ask to see the old parts though to make sure they actually change what they say they are and also have them show you they are putting on new parts

when you are putting more into a car than what it's worth, it's time to bury it! I just did that to my old van, and thankfully I was able to get $1000 for it from the vehicle retirement program. It couldn't pass smog and we'd been putting more into it than what it was worth.

I have only had to pay for repairs on it once... The second set of repairs was covered as a "school supply" and my third repairs the mechanic did for free, because they failed to catch the issue the first time.
My car is still in excellent condition, and when it's working, runs like new. The problem from the beginning is that it was firing on 2 cylinders instead of 4. The first time, they replaced the spark plugs and coils. The second time, they realized there was a leak in the fuel line causing the plugs to get covered in fuel, so they replaced that. Now, we have to see if perhaps it was something further. It's the same problem every time, and if that's the ONLY issue with the car, I'm not giving up on it.
I shouldn't be complaining, because out of 4 sets of repairs, I've only paid for 1, and it was $600. So when it comes to cost, I'm really not complaining at all. My frustration is not having a car, when I have to have it to attend school. My parents and fiance have been very helpful about driving me or letting me borrow a vehicle, so I have been lucky, but it does frustrate me because I have other things to worry about right now (namely, a BABY on the way), and this is just one more stress in my life that I don't need. It also frustrates me because it's really snowy here right now, and my car has 4 wheel drive, but the car I'm borrowing does not, and is prone to sliding a lot... It worries me that I'll get in a wreck trying to get to school, and it will cause problems with the baby.
So, when I take a step back and look at the situation, things are fine. I just am sick of not having MY car... lol. And I'm frustrated it's the same issue every time.
