I'm looking for a new camera bag for me and one for my DH. I think I want something that has quick access but also has room for my external flash and teleconverter. For DH I am looking for a backpack/sling type camera case that will hold his DSLR with standar lens plus a 70-300 lens.
Any ideas? Do you have a camera case you love (and that might a little bit fashionable for me?)

I have two of the original Jo Totes (http://jototes.com/) in scarlet that I mainly use to store my gear in when I'm not using it, I found that they're not always comfortable for me to wear/carry especially if I have a bunch of stuff in it. They are nice and well made though, and they have some cuter purse styles now too.
I also have a DSLR shooter bag from Shelly at Pink Punk Boutique (http://www.facebook.com/pinkpunkboutique) that I use to hold my lenses and accessories while shooting. It's more like a messenger bag with inside lens pockets so it's much more comfortable. I wanted another cute bag that looked more like a purse so I just ordered one of her Claire DSLR bags and can't wait to get it in!
Kelly Moore & Epiphanie also have cute stylish bags.

Mine is SO not what you need but I have to show it off anyway LOL. It's little...it fit my Rebel with kit lens on and 50 mm lens but that's it.

I know it's little but it's my favorite! It's called the Acme Bowler

I do want a "fancy" handbag like camera bag. Soon soon.
As for the backpack option: I bought a Lowepro Fastpack 200 a few moths ago. Here's what it looks like.

It is the perfect backpack for day trips, when you want to bring your camera along. It holds a camera with lens attached (when I have my 18-250 mm on it, it still fits in easily) plus extra lens and equipment. But the upper half has a nice section to bring my purse and all stuff I would otherwise put in my handbag.
I looked at some slingshots, but they were uncomfortable to me. If I bring a backpack, I want a real backpack that doesn't kill one shoulder. The Fastpack line has a sideway zipper, so you can drag the backpack to your front and open the side to retrieve your camera. Pretty much like slingbag. However, to get to the rest of the equipment you need to open the front completely. So if you want to constantly do quick lens changes, it might not be the best option.
Only negative points so far: It comes without raincover, so if you get into heavy rain for longer times, you need to get some extra protection. And I am rather small so the 200 is just a tick bigger than I'd love, yet the 100 was too small for me. But if you're not too petite it will fit perfectly. And it's not like I'm having real problems. I just noticed that it was obviously designed for men. :)
