Printer/scanner advice

I am really in need of a new printer - not so much to print photos but to print documents and various items (including the occasional digital paper or element to make a card or hybrid project). I also really would like to get a scanner so I can scan all my print photos from years ago. Does anyone have a scanner/printer that they really like? I know to get the best results for anything you shoudl have a dedicated printer or scanner but I'm hoping to get a 2-in-1 because I'm so limited for space in my computer area and having just 1 piece of equipment would really be great.

I have an HP Photosmart All in one and I love it. It's a printer/scanner/copier and I've never had a problem with it.
