View Full Version : What I WISH the store had the capability of doing....

I just bought Julie's Mouse Mania for the second time ... I wish there was a capability in the store to say **STOP stupid! You've already bought this" ... or maybe something worded a little nicer.

Crumb ... forgot to take it off my wish list and bought it again ...

Seems like I remember some store that had that capability at one time ...

I must really like that kit! Guess I should get busy scrapping with it. :o

Sharon, write to Julie. I'm sure she'll understand.

Well it's not Julie's fault I'm unorganized ... just wish there was a way the shoppe would flag it as an item I have already bought. Drats.

Yes, but if you wrote to her she might either offer you another kit in the same value or give you your money back. Just as they might do in a real store if you did this and found out soon enough. It's not her obligation, of course, but the ladies here at the shoppe are very understanding about their customers being human.

Well I can't speak for Julie, but I know if my customers bought the same kit accidentally and wrote to me right away with order numbers of both transactions, I'd be happy to issue a coupon for another kit. Like Julie said, we can't give refunds ourselves, but at least you could choose another kit. :)

I recently figured out that buying something on your wishlist doesn't remove it from the wishlist either. I went to put a new kit in my wishlist this weekend and saw all the stuff I had bought during the GGG sale. I just decided to clear my wishlist completely instead of going back and forth between my stash files and the wishlist.

See? This is what I meant. :-)

In the worst-case scenario you end up with TWO kits of Julie instead of one, which is not bad... not bad at all. ;-)

I did it with a Cindy template pack, I wrote Cindy and she just sent me a coupon to get a new pack. It happens to all of us. ;)

I have only double-purchased once so far (that I know of!), :) but I didn't even THINK of doing this... You ladies ROCK!!

I use my wishlist to try to make sure this doesn't happen, but I agree that, since making a purchase does not remove it from your wishlist, it does make things tricky! I don't know if a STOP! e-mail is possible, but improved wishlist functionality would be on my wishlist! :) And one more time for good measure... wishlist! :)

Over at The Lily Pad, when you buy something from your wish list, the next time you go into your wish list, it says "Item already purchased". I love that and that would be my only wish for over here as I love the store the way it is.

After I buy things, I download and while unzipping, I remove the things from my wish list right away. The only reason I rebought Cindy's is cause I dont add her stuff to my wish list. I know i want it all, so when its time to shop, I just search her store for the next type of template I am in need of. lol

There are also shops where an article disappears from your wishlist after purchase. Can't remember now which ones, but I know it exists. Both of these would be cool. :-)
