Just wanted to give you all a quick update on the baby my son & his wife are hoping to adopt. Here's a clue: I just went to the store & added all the baby boy kits I could find to my wish list!

Yep, we just found out it's going to be a boy!! Of course, none of us would have cared either way - but it just makes it seem even more real than before. We've been looking forward to this for soooooo long . . . Bill & Lara have even had names picked out since before they were married 14 years ago. So the little guy's name will be Benjamin Bradley Pounds & we'll call him Ben.

Anyway, as with any adoption, we can't get our hopes up TOO much - there are still four months left until he's born & then the waiting time after that. But, still, with every day that passes, we are getting more & more excited!!

So, if you'd please keep the prayers coming that his mom doesn't change her mind, I (plus our entire family) would be ever so grateful!! (I don't see a "begging" icon, but if there was one it would be inserted right here!)

I will keep you and your son & daughter-in-law in my prayers. I have been there, hoping to adopt and finding out how complicated things are these days. It is quite an expense too, so I know there are so many things to deal with. I hope it all works out and you are blessed!

Congrats! Crossing my fingers for all of ya. We're in the process of adopting an older child who is already livigng with us, but with the complicated process even makes US nervous... and we already have the kid! Can't wait to hear they have him at home :)
