Oh mug of coffee, do you hate me or something?

So, I'm in the middle of my Sat SSD purchase and knock my freshly filled mug of coffee with my elbow. SWOOSH! A lake of hot coffee all over my desk. In it's path was my cell phone (ack!), wallet, and my LYM binder (double ack!) Went under my printer and down my stack of printer paper, down to the keyboard tray, myself, and then the floor.

With three kids watching me I had to really bite my tongue!! :cursing:

I tried to seperate all my LYM pages so they will hopefully not dry and stick together. Not sure about the phone yet. Might have to try that rice thing. Has anyone done that?

The rice thing works - put it in a baggie so it can get all around to absorb the moisture. Not a great way to start the day - hope it all ends up being okay!

I hope you didn't hurt yourself badly. Coffee burns can be bad (yes, I have had hot coffee spilled on me a number of times and I don't even drink the stuff). The rest of the items can be replaced, but if the rice trick works on your phone, it sounds like that damage will end up being minimal. So sorry for your accident....

I hurt my knee last year trying to save my carpet, tripped on the stairs and tried not to spill the coffee on my carpet. I saved the carpet but my knee has never been the same, LOL. Coffee gets us in trouble eh? :cursing:
