lol
I've been wanting a bread machine for a while..I keep going back and forth on buying one and I mentioned it to my Mamaw this weekend..and she said that she had one that someone had given her about 10 years ago for Christmas that I could have..well I didn't know what kind of shape it would be in being that old..but she brought it to me today..still in the box! She used it one time and it's like it's brand new! I'm just tickled over it and I've already got my first loaf baking..I don't know if I'll love it but hey it was free!
It's a toastmaster bread machine made in 1999. Go Mamaw!

yay thats awesome!! i want a bread machine too! I tried to make bread just in the oven once and it was a complete failure. I think it might be because of the high altitude i'm in.. thats what i keep telling myself anyways..

that is so cool!! I love fresh baked bread. I used to make it all the time when I first got married but have not made any in a really long time.

If she has two, I'll take one! :) Seriously, enjoy your bread maker - that's an awesome gift!!

I just recently rescued my bread machine from the Goodwill pile. I hadn't used it in years (it's 20 years old) and decided to give it a try again. I still like bread baked in the oven a lot better, but it's nice having all the work done for you.
I gave away my pasta machine a long time ago. Sorry Celeste. ;)

That's great. We got one as a wedding present in '98, and I love it. I use it at least once a week, and you know I wouldn't bother if it wasn't quick, easy, and delicious!

My first loaf..it really turned out better than I expected...soft inside and crusty outside...I put some homemade honey butter on a big slice and Ella ate it for lunch :)
