These pictures were actually really red, the light I use reflects off the next house over, which is painted brick red so the light reflected is red. I went in and made the white balance shift away from red/yellow and into blue and green and then it still wasn't enough so I desaturated the red channel... here's the before:

Oh, I edit in Adobe camera RAW, but you can do the same with lightroom..
