I have the greatest husband, I really do...
My husband and 3-year-old daughter gave me my Mother's Day card this morning. It was very beautiful. Pretty florals and dragonflies with just a hint of glitter for some sparkle, all wrapped up in a beautiful bow. Only problem is the writing of the card is all about how the daughter can really appreciate her mother now that she's a mother herself!! Did my DH even read the card?? Well, obviously not!
Good thing it's the thought that counts

Men... too funny.
I wonder if your daughter chose the card and had her heart set on it based on the picture?

LOL Men!!
At least he remembered it was Mother's Day, even if he didn't read the whole thing. Save it until she's grown & maybe you could recreate the sentiment when she actually is a momma.
A girl at the bach party I went to last night, got a gun (that her hubby just happened to "NEED" to go somewhere in June, after she told him she absolutely DID NOT want that for a gift!!)

Hehe!! It is true, at least you got a card lol.
Here is a funny story for you. My mother-in-law just revealed that she has been giving her husband (my step-FIL) the same birthday card for years! LOL. He hasn't noticed. The first year she did it and gave him the same card she did it as kind of a joke/test to see if he'd notice. Since he didn't she just kept doing it. I think he'll probably start to notice now Haha!

That's really funny!
My hubby is usually a very good gift-giver, but this year was definitely an exception to that. We just started a church, so he had to run over there real quick this morning to make sure the air was run down, etc. Well, he was gone longer than I expected him to be and I was having to get the kids ready in addition to getting myself ready (well, the older two can do it mostly on their own, but I was helping my 2-yr. old). So he comes home with flowers and a Walmart bag filled with clothes for me......uh, that's what I'm worth to him as the mother of his children, some last-minute token gift of Walmart clothes that are too big and ugly? Ugh! Now, I'm not a clothes snob -- if I liked the clothes (and they had been my size) I wouldn't have cared where they came from. But the fact that it was so last-minute and lacked any thought whatsoever almost made me mad. I would have much preferred no gift and just help getting the kids ready. Men!

Oh man. That's something my husband would do.
In fact my son picked out a card for me and my husband never filled it out.. So I still haven't gotten it... My son keeps asking me if daddy gave me the card and I keep saying Yes it was so nice. I don't want to hurt his feelings since DH said he took ten minutes trying to pick it out.

That is pretty funny!
My mom often bought cards that were like "To my sister on her birthday"... but then she'd cross out sister and write friend or daughter, depending on the recipient. I would tell her she was crazy, just buy blank cards if you are going to cross out the sentiment!! LOL
