Okay, do any of you guys have Scentsy warmers? I have one, and I got the scent "Echo" for Christmas, which is really masculine (it was an inside joke from my mom- I have a dog named Echo that typically smells VERY bad, so she bought me a scent called Echo that smelled a LOT better).

Anyway, the other day I decided I needed a few more scents, and someone was selling it at the Expo I went to, so I bought Camu Camu, Paradise Punch, and Honey Pear Cider.

Anyway, it got me wondering, since Scentsy is becoming so popular, how many of you have it, and what is your favorite scent? What does it smell like (sometimes the descriptions in the catalog are a little hard for me to picture)? Why do you like it? I'm just curious. I want to know what other scents I want to buy, since now I'm an addict and there's very little keeping me from buying the whole catalog (my wallet being pretty much the ONLY thing keeping me from it at this point).

I love Scentsy burners. I have the regular burners and plug ins. I like more baking smells in my kitchen/living room area. My favorites are:
Sugar Cookie, Baked Apple Pie, Sticky Cinnamon Bun,Pumpkin Roll and Cinnamon Cider.

Another one that I like that is not as strongly scented is Hearth and Home. It smells clean to me. I tend to use this one in the bathrooms.

I loved Scentsy so much that I decided to start selling it! I've been selling since Jan 2009. I don't do a whole lot of business- just enough to keep me active and to support my habit.

I tend to like the bakery smells and vanilla type stuff so my fave is sugar cookie. I like cinnamon vanilla for the winter too. In July they are bringing back some retired scents and one of them is orange dreamsicle which is HEAVENLY. Smells just like an orange dreamsicle. They are also brining back Luscious lemon which is great for kitchens. Another one Im excited about it Root beer float!

And the warmer for July is to DIE FOR! Its a cupcake and the scent for the month is called Happy Birthday!

Anyways...if you ever have any questions please feel free to email me!

I got one for Christmas, but I can't find the bars I got right now and I dont know anyone around here who sells it. Can I use the cheap non-Scentsy ones in it?

Honey Pear Cider is my absolute favorite, but I also love Autumn Sunset...it's a cinnamon/fruit kind of deal that reminds me of Thanksgiving/Christmas.

Oh. My. God. You have totally told this to the wrong person. I have a cupcake obsession. As in, I have the bug and I have it bad and I need need need that warmer and probably the scent.

Also. I may be PMing you with some questions about being a consultant. It's an idea I'm toying with, but I wanted to wait until after the baby comes. I buy enough Scentsy that I think it would be a good move for me, but at the same time, I don't know if it's worth it. I've done some home-based selling in the past, and currently sell mark. cosmetics, but I don't have the time to dedicate to REALLY selling while in school (honestly, I sell just enough mark. to buy my mark. products for free or almost free- it's more to support the habit than to make money). Once I'm done with school in a year or two, I figure I'd amp that up, but I'm considering maybe selling something else, too... Any feedback you have on your experience would be GREATLY appreciated. Like I said, I'm *toying* with the idea, but I'm not set on it.

I've seen the non-Scentsy ones but haven't tried them. I don't have a steady rep (I've just been stocking up at fairs and expos, since usually some of the ladies sell them a little cheaper there). I got 3 bars for $14 the other day, which was... a little less than $5 per bar? The ones I've seen at Walmart are around $3-ish, and I just haven't encountered smells I liked from them (that's the main reason I didn't switch to an off-brand- I didn't find a smell I loved). Hmm. I don't know if you can or not.

you can certainly try non-scentsy bars in them but i don't know how well they will warm in our warmers. Our bars are made to melt at a much lower temperature since our warmers use a 25 watt light bulb instead of another heat source.

If you need a consultant please PM me and I can get you my info. I know its hard to have a consultant out of state but you can always place an order through my website. :)

I had a friend that used the cheaper version from Walmart. You basically get what you paid for. The scent doesn't last very long (like a day!) at all and she felt like the Scentsy brand was better. The way she put it was that it was a WASTE of her $$ instead of SAVING money. I personally haven't used them but I just wanted to let you know a first hand testimonial. :)

One of my faves is called Skinny Dippin'. I tend to go more the fruity/baked ones. I'd love to get some of the more cinnamon type smelling ones, but my husband has a stong aversion to the cinnamon smell. Oh well, there are plenty of others that smell great!

Oh yes! I love Skinny Dippin'! It just smells like summer! :) I have this sent in the room spray. Love it! Oh and I have it in the car tin too. It is great for the car!

Skinny Dippin' smells AWESOME! I don't have it, but I feel like every time I'm somewhere to smell all the samples, I always *almost* buy it.

I'm thinking about getting the newborn nursery one for Zach's room when he comes, but I haven't done it. If I end up buying the July warmer, I'll probably put it in my room and put the warmer I have in his nursery.

I'm always attracted to the really tropical ones, and in the fall, the apple/cinnamon/honey/baking sort of scents. I don't like really sweet baking scents, though.

Oh. Also. Anyone. Have you guys smelled Cherry Limeade or Honey Do? I've been wanting both of those, but I'm worried they won't smell as spot-on as they SOUND in the catalog. Not that it's ever been a problem with Scentsy- what the title suggests is pretty much what you get- but sometimes I like a scent better or worse than I think I will, and I'm trying to decide whether or not to get those.

I was afraid that was the case. Glad I've always bought the actual bars, then!

I have a bit of an obssession to warmers.. my favourite scent from there is welcome home.

I'm a HUGE fan of gold canyon too - I love their pods because of the ease of changing them out :)

I bought my sister and mom some Scentsy warmers and a lot of scents for Christmas (oh and me some too) ... we tried honey pear cider on Stacy's (pewtertm) recommendation and like that. I like the cinnamon vanilla ... the apple pie I have to use like a 1/2 section because it is kinda strong. Some of the new scents sound really good! I thought I was done buying scentsy for awhile as I stocked up at Christmas ... lol

My sister tried buying several off brands at walmart and was VERY disappointed ... said the scents are not as pure ... and even in the package the smells just seem to evaporate.

I'd like to place an order for the new scents but the postage costs will probably keep me from placing one right away.

Gold Canyon must have come out with something new ... last time I knew they only had regular candles in the jars ... I used to put them on the candle warmers even though they had wicks. I LOVE Gold Canyons root beer barrels ... and my oldest ds liked them as well and used them in his room in the basement .. got rid of the basement smell in his room. That rootbeer barrell would last for MONTHS.

We have a few plug in warmers and love them!!

I bought 6 scents....Lucky in Love, My Dear Watson, Beach, Inner Peace, Mediterranean Spa and Clean Breeze

The boys also have three of the stuffed animals and the nursery scent packs in them.

I love honey pear cider. I was getting ready to put some of that on. I melted Camu Camu most of yesterday, and then last night I put on Paradise Punch. Now today I'm going for honey pear cider.

I like how long lasting the scents are. I expected them to be worn off by now, but every time I step into my room, BAM! I get hit with the scent again. :)

How well can you smell the scent pack through the Scentsy buddy? I keep thinking about getting one (I've been considering the scent packs for the hampers and closets and everything) but I wasn't sure how well the smell would permeate through the buddy.

Also, how long do the scent packs tend to last? Are they worth buying?

I may be buying a travel tin and a car thing, too and and and and... crap, I'm obsessed.

I found the scents in the buddy TOO strong. We have one for both of our kids. Lucas (3 years) is overly sensitive to smells and actually threw up when he had the scent in his.. so we took that out right away. Our older daughter had the scent in hers and I would say the scent lasted a good 3 weeks? I found it a bit overpowering myself tbh :)

Gold canyon is basically the same as scentsy - maybe a bit pricier because you don't just break off pieces from the bricks etc. Same sorta home book party type thing.

The thing i love most is that the wax burns in the container it comes in - so if you want to change your scent you don't have to throw anything away you just simply remove it and let the wax get hard again. :) I save them now when the scents are gone so that I can put the scentsy ones in there as well :)

If the scents are too strong in the buddies then put the pack in there for a while and then take it back out and put it in a ziploc bag. That way you still have the smell on the buddy but its not as strong.

Kristin- you can do the same thing with Scentsy- if the wax still has smell in it and you want to change scents just pour the liquid wax back into the original plastic shell and then clean out the warmer top. :)

This is what I've been doing. I've found that for some reason, when I'm around a scent too long, my nose gets a bit desensitized to it... others walking in the room walk in and say "OMG It smells so good in here!" but I can't smell it, and darn it, I want to smell it! So I've gotten into the habit of changing my Scent every day, sometimes twice a day.

Oh. Another thing I love about Scentsy... I can mix scents. I took some Camu Camu and some Paradise Punch and put them in together... AWESOME smell resulted. It's got me inspired to buy some more bars that would pair well together, but I'm trying to figure out what I think would go best with what. Anyone have any ideas?

I have a few scents which I LOVE. I have Red Candy Apple (seriously smells like a candy apple - soooo yummy), Mochadoodle (smells like snickerdoodle cookies), Pumpkin Roll (smells like pumkin pie), and a coconut scent.

On my wishlist is Havana Cabana, which is a tropical scent & smells like fresh pineapple & coconut. It's awesome!!

I totally agree with Kristin! The scent is VERY strong in the buddies!!!! We got the nursery scent and it was way too strong for Baby Derek...the older boys don't seem to mind. We can still smell the scent in Derek's (removed it a few days later) and he got it for Easter.

Scentsy rocks!! I started out using Yankee tarts and warmers but my cousin started selling Scentsy and I was amazed at how much better I like the wax and warmers. I've tried a few different waxes but IMHO the Scentsy is markedly better. My only complaint, they need a scratch and sniff catalog LOL Some scents are stronger than others. I've found that if I turn on the warmer for just two or three hours at a time, the scent lasts and I don't get that nose burnout, where I can't smell it and everyone else can. I tend to lean toward the clean or spicy scents but in the summer Skinny Dippin' and Havana Cabana are going a lot.
