Okay, so I hate tuna. I can't stomach the smell of it at all. But I see tuna cakes and they look good to me, but I don't want to just randomly make one without knowing if it's actually any good or not, you know?
Anyone have a good recipe that doesn't have a bunch of mayo or the like in it (trying to eat clean)? And would it be okay if I subbed flaked chicken for the tuna, lol??

LOL! Well, yeah - if it was made with tuna, ha! But the idea is yummy - shredded meat, spices, bread crumbs, shredded veggies, then baked or fried. Mmmm.

Just this. Good luck though.
You could probably do it like a crab cake, which are good.

Maybe kind of like fried salmon patties? I take a can of salmon an egg, a little flour, some green onions and then form them into patties and fry them in a little oil. I never thought of trying them with tuna.

This. My dad made these (with tuna) all the time growing up. Haven't had them in years, but now I want them. LOL

If you do use tuna... I would use the white tuna, what is it call, Albacore? My hubby loathes tuna - but ever so often I get a taste for tuna casserole and if I make it with the white tuna, he doesn't mind it... it has a very mild taste, I guess it tastes similar to canned chicken.

This recipe showed up in my e-mail today from Martha Stewart Everyday Food. http://www.marthastewart.com/340986/lemon-parsley-fish-cakes
They used cod but I'm sure you could sub tuna if you wanted. Or just use cod if you like that since you say you don't like tuna.
Also, if you like them it says you can make ahead and freeze. I'm all for that!
