View Full Version : Designer suggestion: New International Kit?

I'm looking for a BRIGHT international kit. I have Globetrotting and I *lovelovelove* it, but I've realized it doesn't really have the countries I need, nor is it bright enough for what I'm using it for now/most of the photos I have to scrap.

I'd love to see an expanded travel kit, in brighter, really youthful colours. Maybe the colours of the "international flag" (Most flags around the world use blue, red, white, black, yellow, and green).

If it could have elements representing a wide variety of countries, it would be really cool... Bolivia, Brazil, Columbia, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Senegal, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam are the countries I most need stuff for... some of the Asian countries and such I can pull from other kits, and I know we just got that *amazing* British kit... I'd just love to see more countries if possible.

I know there are a lot of international members, a lot of travelers, and personally, my family works with and hosts exchange students. I also know a lot of people on the site are doing one of those "international" summers project things where they have their kids learn about different countries from around the world. I feel like there might be demand for it, and maybe others can come up with countries I might have missed.

If anyone could help me out with this, it'd be awesome. Just a suggestion ;)

Sounds like it would be really good to use for Epcot at Disney also.

I hadn't thought about that, since I've never been there!

I would just love to see something BRIGHT.

As for elements, I'd love to see flags, passports, an airplane, camera, some foodelated elements like chopsticks, cut-outs of the countries, various travel related elements, maybe elements related to the particular countries people are interested in, postcards...

Maybe some of the people thinking Epcot could throw out some Epcotelated suggestions? Or, heck, any suggestions?

I just think there might be a lot of demand for this sort of thing!

I think I might have mentioned this to Melissa since she just did the Canadian and British kits to go with the American kits. :)

I definitely thought of Melissa when I suggested it! Though, I'd be happy with any SSD designer taking this on.

Melissa would ROCK this sort of kit, though. No joke!

I was already going to say that this sounds like a fun kit that I might be interested in too. I hadn't even thought of the Epcot photo possibilities!

I'd definitely be down for this. I would love love love a whole around the world collection. We're going back to Europe this fall so I'll have even MORE photos and projects to use with the kit.

I initially thought that it would come in handy last year... I used Globetrotting to make the students' cookbook for the international dinner, and it worked GREAT, but I was thinking "I'm going to need to find another kit for next year, or something to make this a little different." And then I thought it would be REALLY cool to have another international kit that covered more countries, and was a lot brighter.

I'd just love to see something like this come together... I work with students from 16 countries, and have SO many photos that have gone unscrapped.
