I'm typing on my brand new MacBookPro...I ended up getting the 15 inch which is smaller than my 17 inch HP that died but I just couldn't justify the $$$ for the bigger screen...I know I have a learning curve but I'm super excited...I hope it's everything I think it is...

Wahoo! Welcome to the wonderful world of Mac! It will probably take some getting used to, but you're going to love it in the end!

Awesome, congrats! I've always used a 15" just because of the easiness of traveling and bringing it places. No Mac though, I bet you'll love it! :)

I'm in the same boat! Our PC crashed a month ago and we replaced it with a Mac. We needed a laptop too so Thursday I got the exact same laptop you did. I had a busy weekend and haven't had time to hardly turn it on or scrap on it. There is definitely a learning curve going from PC to Mac but I think I'm going to like it. I was using a PC program and also had to make the switch to Photoshop so I have lots to learn! I'm feeling overwhelmed and broke but hoping it will be worth it in the end!

don't laugh, but my aunt bought me this book for christmas, because she knew i was buying my iMac in january- how to do everything mac (http://www.amazon.com/How-Everything-Mac-Dwight-Spivey/dp/0071502726). for the first month, i used it every time i needed to do something. and i've been working with mac products for years. it's got all of the basic information (how to use the mouse, how to use the basic programs), plus the extras (how to use bootcamp to install windows on your mac). it may sound silly, but i think it's a great book for anyone new to the "world of mac"
