As I posted over in Meg's thread, we had our big anatomy scan this morning! We're still Team Green, but it was so amazing to finally see something more than a little nugget, lol!

Jordan took the printouts to work to scan them and had some trouble, but he finally got them to me. Here's the best profile shot we could get (I ended up laying almost completely on my stomach to get this, LOL!). Sorry it's on the huge side, I'm too lazy to resize and reupload, lol.

The perinatal expert said that everything looked great, and I'm measuring right on track or slightly ahead of track. So all is well! It was amazing to see the arms and legs and everything moving around in there, since I still haven't felt anything (my placenta is in the front, plus it's my first so I don't know what it should feel like anyway, so they said another 2 weeks or so before I can definitely tell). But after not seeing or hearing anything for 2 months because of the vacation, it was awesome to just know that everything is perfect. Even if Swerbaby refuses to cooperate for just about anything, lol. "He" was upside-down (spine up at my ribs) and all tucked in and content in there, and the tech had a really hard time seeing everything she needed. At one point she left the room and had me jumping around and touching my toes (I did a few karate kicks for Jordan, who was thoroughly amused) and smooshing my belly to try and get him to flip around to make it easier for her. I ended up having to roll around onto my side (and almost entirely onto my belly for the profile shots) so she could check on the heart, lol. Little guy is already being a pain in the rear! :p

So. Yay. :) Pretty much the best anniversary present ever, spending an hour staring at my little baby :)

awww Swerbaby! At first it feels like little flashes of butterflies in your tummy but soon it'll feel like something swiftly pushing from the inside...when you're REALLY pregnant, you'll be able to SEE the baby kicking! :)

Awwwww I'm so excited for you, Col!! Glad everything went well!

I have an anterior placenta, too, so I don't feel the movements as strongly this time either. With my first, I was probably 20+ weeks before I ever felt the movement. This time, I started feeling the light flutters around 16 weeks (honestly, it almost feels like gas at first! LOL). Then within a week or two, I was feeling light kicks.

Now, I feel the movements pretty regularly, but some days she's definitely more active than others. :) It won't be long til you'll recognize those movements and know for sure that's what you're feeling!

Aww! I love those kinds of ultrasound shots!
And yeah the movements are like what everyone else has said. I've only felt a few light movements so far, and I keep trying to feel more. I felt all three of the others moving around by this point, so it's bugging me not feeling the baby more now.

Awwww, I love that Steph! I'm gonna think about that whenever I get down about not knowing. I want to know, so it's a little harder on me to be holding out. But thinking about that will remind me that it'll be incredible when I finally do get to meet him/her.

Thanks everyone :)

Yeah, it's one of those 'you'll know' kind of things. If you're not sure, it prolly isn't. It's amazing... until the last month and you are trying to sleep and every time you do the baby kicks and wakes you up. :p

I'm so happy for you, Col! <3

My sister came up with it, and I LOVE it :) Her BFF is due in December and they've been calling their baby "Cinco" (for YEARS now, because they were on a 5 year plan, lol). So we had to have a fun nickname for our little one, especially since we're not finding out the sex or picking names out.
We add Swerb to just about everything around here. The wedding was "Swerb-a-palooza", and the other day my gf wished me a "Happy Swerb-aversary" since we were meeting Swerbaby, lol. I love it. It's silly and it makes me happy :)
