Did we ever read The Help by Kathryn Stockett (http://www.amazon.com/Help-Kathryn-Stockett/dp/0399155341)??

...such a well written, facinating story - I'm 2/3 of the way through & would highly recommend reading it if you haven't already.

It was one of the first ones that was done here, sometimes in spring or early summer, I think. A great one, I agree.

Just for fairness' sake, read this little discussion (https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58008) before voting for my suggestion. I loved the book, but it's not what it says on the cover (at least on the cover I got), and I don't want anyone to be disappointed. :-)
