Who's been to the movies recently?

My kids want to go tonight. We can choose between Alvin & the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, Adventures of Tin Tin and We Bought a Zoo.

I took Rachel to see Chipwrecked last week. We enjoyed the first two movies, but this one kind of stunk. I'd give it a C...there was really nothing special about it, and she actually wound up sort of bored before it was over.

I've heard great things about TinTin...we're planning a family date night to go see that.

You couldn't PAY me to sit through Chipmunks, but my dd saw it and, of course, loved it. Thank God for aunts who take neices to the movies!

We saw Chipwrecked - the kids loved it.

Friends saw We Bought a Zoo and wished they hadn't - the girls are 8 and 11 and were bored and sad (it's long and the mother dies, which bothered them because their mother is dying) and the kids were upset that the little girl swore in it - they said it really should have been PG13.

We haven't seen Tin Tin or know anyone who has, so I have no idea about that one.

i didn't love chipwrecked but the girls did.

my bff took her kids to see we bought a zoo and they didn't like it at ALL.

This was me...My son and his friends loved it (we went as a group)...I thought is was ok too...I liked the last one better than this one...

I haven't seen any of them, but a friend of mine took her 6 year old son to see We Bought a Zoo and she said it was way too intense for his age and had lots of language she wasn't expecting. Good luck!

I've taken my kids to all of them. I liked We Bought A Zoo, but was surprised my kids sat through it. It wash't very entertaining for kids IMO. My kids like Chipwreked, and I thought it was cute enough. My vote would be for Tin Tin. Both my boys LOVED it! I thought it was petty good too ;)

Tin Tin was very good, but it's definitely a boy movie. There is some swearing and Captain Haddock is always drunk, so some parents would definitely object to that.

Its not listed, but we went to The Muppets and both enjoyed it a lot. My son even asked for a Kermit for Christmas after we saw it.

Yes, the Muppets! We loved that one - It was like going back in time and watching the TV show for me and Cheyanne loved it too. It's not in the regular theaters here anymore but it is at the "cheap seats" - the second time around theater.
