Is coming to theaters in April!

There are a few movies that I only allow myself to watch every few years. I don't want to spoil them by watching them so much that I get tired of them. Titanic is definitely one of those movies..I saw it 4 times in the theater when it came out and I think I've only let myself watch it about 3 times since 1997. I love this movie so much.
How many times did you see it in theaters back then? Well..those of you who are old enough to remember lol. I was 23 in 1997 so I remember it pretty well :p

I never saw it in the theater. First time I saw it was on pay per view in a hotel room in Dallas.

I love Titanic! I think I saw it three times in the theater, I would have been 19 then! I also own it on VHS, it's so long it's on two tapes lol, haven't been able to watch it in several years though since we no longer have a working VHS player. I would love to see it in the theater again!

Remember how Titanic crazy everyone got? lol...I saw it once with my boyfriend at the time, once with my sis and then took my mom to the matinee to see it. Then after it had been out a while our local historical theater showed it and I saw it then too. The theater was built in 1912..and the inside architecture and stuff is so reminiscent of that time..it was very cool to watch it there...kind of felt like we were "in the Titanic".

I saw it a couple of times in theater. It was awesome! DH is taking me on a date this weekend to see the Titanic Artifact Exhibition that is set up near us! I am sooooo excited - I've been a Titanic junkie since I was around 5 (well before the movie came out)!

I don't remember how many times I saw it in the theatre but I do know that I would get on Mirc and go to the chat rooms and we would all recite the movie script. It was awesome at the time but talking about it always makes me giggle with embarrassment.

Oooh I loved that movie! I absolutely remember seeing it in the theater. I was very pregnant with Kendra (who will be 14 next month). I've only seen it a handful of times since then, but I'd LOVE to go see it in the theater again!

Never saw it in the theater. (On a side note, I think the most I ever watched a movie in the theater was 3x and that was Notting HIll.)
My husband decided to preorder the VHS version, so we got that and watched it all of one time. My personality is all twisted...I hate getting caught up in mania and really trendy things, so I'm pretty sure I didn't even try to like it.

 oh barf! I only saw it once in the theater and never again lol! (ok maybe once more because I was forced to) It was waaaaay to cheesy romantic for me. But I say this with all the love in the world for you ladies who love it because I know I'm in the minority here lol! Heck my husband even likes that movie and thinks that I am strange for not liking it like every other girl out there hehe

I saw it twice in the theater but only because the first time we went with my cousins and arrived so late we had to sit in the very front row. It was kind of hard to see from that close, haha. I do remember being kind of bored with it the second time though. It's not like you don't know how it's going to end! :D
My parents totally have the 2-tape VHS set except it's still wrapped in shrink-wrap! Apparently none of us were ever that excited to watch it again. :D

I saw it twice in the theaters...I was 26 when it came out. The first time I thought it was great/amazing...the second time, I still enjoyed it but it wasn't as good.
Honestly, I could watch it again and just be happy to see the second half...I'm not a huge fan of the love story, but I love watching the special effects themselves.

Unless you go to a Mommy & Me showing! Check with some of the theaters around Giseli! A mommy & me showing (sometimes called Stars & Strollers), are matinee's tailored to moms - they keep the lights on, and lower the volume. Changetables are set up, and you are welcome to breastfeed if need be. And since it's lots of other mom's, if your baby starts fussing, nobody will mind!!

I saw it 9 times when it was in theaters. Yes, nine. I had just started dating my now hubby, who is a little (in a scary way :D) obsessed with the titanic, and he wanted to watch it over and over.
Needless to say he will be going to see it in 3d on his own, as I will never ever ever watch it again :p

I hate. hate hate hate hate. hate 3D. But I'm making a HUGE exception for Titanic.
I spent my entire childhood absorbing everything I could about the Titanic disaster (this was before the film came out in 97). I had every book, photograph, museum pass that I could get my hands on. I loved it (I was one of those people who would research a topic to the death when I was a kid).
My mom is very strict about age ratings- PG13 means you wait until you're 13 to see it, R is 17, etc etc. Well, I was only 9 when Titanic came out, but because I was so obsessed, she made an exception. I saw it three times in theatres.
I WILL be in that theatre seat, as soon as I possibly can (hopefully opening day), and I'll see it at least once. I'd like to see it the day it comes out (the day that the Titanic set sail) and see it on the day of the sinking again. But maybe I'm just obsessed... Lol.
I will say that I nitpicked the original film, and I'll probably do so again. Like when Ismay comments that they're considering lighting the 4th boiler... the 4th boiler was a false (used for storage). They couldn't've lit it. I'll leave now :P
(Now I read the thread and see there are a lot of Titanic fans here on the boards!) :)

I was 15 when it came out at the theater, and I saw it 9 times with my best friend, we had a major thing for Leo.
i only saw it once in the theater, but i've seen it countless times since then :) and right now, one of my nephews is obsessed with the movie (and anything titanic) - so it's on repeat all weekend long - every weekend LOL. and we are all excited to see it in 3D :)

I'm glad to know!! IDK why I didn't thought about that before 'cause we have that in Brazil too called Cine Materna. Thank you, Jaedyn :hugs: I'll try to find if there's any near me.

i saw it once in theater...and then many many times since. le sigh. I LOVE it. I was marginally obsessed with the disaster itself and the movie thrilled me. Then when my son was about 7 he became obsessed as well but fast-forwarded through the mushy stuff. lol i remember him making countless replicas of the titanic in the sand at the beach. We went to the artifact exhibit when it came to Raleigh and i loved the whole experience ...they had a room set up to feel like that night did right down to a wall of ice the exact temperature that you could touch and the sound of rushing water and stars twinkling in the sky...gives me chills even now. So yup i'm gonna see the 3d movie!!

I saw it three times in the theater (I was 17). It's one of two movies (the other being 'Hairspray' in case you're curious) that I've seen more than once at the theater.
My friends and I thought Leo was sooooooooooooo dreamy.
I'm more excited abt 'Beauty and the Beast' coming out in theaters this month! It's my favorite Disney movie, and I've never seen it in the theaters before. I'm not even attempting to take DD, but taking a friend of mine for my birthday. Why, yes, I will be 32 in two weeks. Why do you ask?! :p
