someone do while driving? I think Orlando has some of the craziest drivers around. Here is what I have seen on the roads:

a guy texting while on a motorcyle
a girl applying her makeup looking into the rearview mirror and driving 10mph
someone eating something out of a bowl with a spoon (had neither hand on the wheel just their knee)
a guy leaned all the way over looking for something on the passenger floorboard

So what is the craziest thing you have seen someone do on the road?

well Atlanta has crazy traffic and when I used to work in the city it wasn't uncommon for a 30 minute drive to take me 2 hours. I've seen people

fold laundry
do makeup
eat
change diapers
change clothes

probably more just can't think

LOL Meg the folding laundry is pretty bad!! Ive never really been out of Florida but have been all around this state and Orlando (and the surrounding area) is the worst I have seen. I am sure there are worse places though.

I love when they're reading the paper while driving.
One guy had a brandy snifter (with brandy in it!) and was reading the paper while driving.

I've seen countless people attempt to text while riding their bikes, too. That is too crazy!

Myself, the craziest thing I've seen is a mother getting her kid dressed while she was behind the wheel.

But DH is a trucker, and the stories he has to tell...yikes! He's seen people reading the newspaper...watching TV...self-pleasuring...pleasuring others...playing on a computer. The worst, in his opinion, was some woman painting her toenails (with her foot propped up on the console) while she driving full speed down the highway.

Wow, I think the worse I've seen is kids bouncing around from seat to seat without being corrected/buckled in or worse. Scares the heck out of me.
In the states it was just people eating or talking on the phone. I guess I never was lucky enough to see them folding laundry or getting.... gig-eee

That's hard to say... my eyes saw a lot LOL
But once I saw a man carrying a baby w/ one hand w/ a toddler in the back, in old motorcycle w/o ANY kind of protection for him and the children, riding it w/ the other hand. I was so angry I cried.

OMG....i'm stunned reading this thread!! I hate to see people talking on the phone and driving...I can't imagine seeing someone reading or changing clothes/diapers!! If I saw even a fraction of some of this stuff I'd never drive again!! :D :D

This is why I didn't start really driving until a few years ago - when I had to start taking my daughter to school. I wasn't worried about my abilities, I was worried about every other nutcase on the road!

DH saw a car driving doing a wheelie with four people in it here in Kuwait. Yes they are that crazy!!! Oh and there are no child safety laws here so I cringe every time I see a kid crawling all over the car/driver/whoever as they go 120km/h or more! With how many accidents I've seen in my few weeks here, I cannot imagine the death toll here for kiddos in cars. SAD!

Smoking a joint
Reading a book
Getting frisky (without a passenger)
Nose picking (I know this isn't odd, it just cracks me up that people don't think you can see them through glass, lol)

a driver buckling their child into a rear seat while driving. Yep... safety first! LOL

I was watching Real Housewives of Atlanta and it showed Kim Z. pumping while she was driving. Pumping!

I've seen people putting on makeup. That's about it. Which is pretty tame considering I used to live in CA and have a relatively long commute with lots of stop and gos....lol

You know it is not the city of Orlando that is really bad (downtown most of the speed limits are 25-35) it is out here where I live because it is considered country they speed limit is supposed to be 55 (45 for like two miles) and people drive 65+ through our area. It is not uncommon to see cars doing 100 through this area. Alot of accidents happen in the short stretch of highway that goes through the town I live in. We only have two red lights in the stretch of highway that goes through our town and once you get past the main area it is about 15 miles til you hit water.

That's why I don't have a driver's license and never wanted to have one before. But now I need a license - it's a must have here where I'm living. I just hope the roads and streets are not that crazy here...
