My son, 3.5, has been sick literally 90% of the days this year. I know we're only in January, but this kid has been on antibiotics and within a couple of days of finishing that, now has bronchitis. He's been sick this whole week. I'm soooo tired of staying home with him, and today I got up at 7am just to get some alone time. He didn't have a fever at all yesterday which is definitely a good sign but he's been waking up frequently last night with ear issues. He has fluid in his ears (surgery for that scheduled in Feb), so ear ache is sadly common for him when he's sick. But other than that, I hope we'll start next week being healthy! No more sickness please!

Okay, rant over. If you made it this far, go grab a oookie, you deserve it lol

I'm sorry to hear that, Julia. Is he already going to school?
My son (2) has been sick a lot as a baby and now rarely. But he starts school in April and I already know he'll be sick a lot once he gets in contact with so many other kids. It can definitely wear you out! Is he getting tubes for his ears? I know a lot of children are helped a lot with that. Hopes he get well soon!

Oh no. Time always drags when the kiddos are sick. 2 winters ago, one or another of us was sick for nearly two months, without a day to separate it. Ugh....so glad that finally ended. Hope your little one gets better soon.

Oh my gosh, Julia, it is sooo hard having a sick kiddo, that is for sure! Especially when it disrupts sleep and seemingly goes on FOREVER! Crossing my fingers he kicks the ickies and is back to his regular self very soon!

Hang in there! The tubes will probably be a huge help. Before my DS got his, he went through a winter of being sick more than he was well. Every time he got a cold (and it seemed like he always had a cold), he got an ear infection and ran a fever. There were weeks at a time when he couldn't go to preschool and we couldn't leave the house. After he got his tubes things were so much better. He also went from waking up 3x a night every night to waking up once a night. We hadn't realized how much the fluid in his ears was affecting him even when he didn't have an ear infection. I hope your DS feels better soon!

Thanks everyone, he seems a lot better today, so hopefully we can all have a good night of sleep tonight!

I can't wait for his tubes to be put in. He actually had the same proceedure done last January, but at his 6 wk check up they had already fallen out! So we waited in hopes he didn't had to have it done again, but turns out he does. Ugh. So annoyed I let it go on for a year before new ones are being put in. I tell ya, if they fall back out again this time I'll have them put in new ones right away.
